JUST FOR TODAY!
JUST FOR TODAY: "BECAUSE HE HATH SET HIS LOVE UPON ME, THERFORE WILL I DELIVER HIM: I WILL SET HIM ON HIGH, BECAUSE HE HATH KNOWN MY NAME. HE SHALL CALL UPON ME, AND I WILL ANSWER HIM: I WILL BE WILL BE WITH HIM, AND HONOUR HIM. WITH LONG LIFE WILL I SATISFY HIM, AND SHEW HIM MY SALVATION." ~Psalm 91:14-16 Have you "set your Love" on God?? Have you "known His name"; in other words do you have a personal Relationship with God?? What wonderful promises from God you are missing if you don't!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The Bible says that God will absolutely "deliver" us from the snares and pestilent troubles of this fallen world. To "deliver" means to be removed from one place and taken or moved to another. When God is our refuge and we put our Trust in Him, He is faithful to be with us always and remove us when we fall into the traps and troubles of this world. He will take us to the safety of a place where we are covered by His feathers like a mighty eagle and the Truth of His Word shall be our Protection. The key here is for you to let God be YOUR God and put YOUR Trust in Him. If you do your part, rest assured God will do His. Fear will become non-existent and Peace will be the norm. (Psalm 91:3-5) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust." ~Psalm 91:1-2 Are you living in that "secret place" of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; that precious relationship that is not only with Lord and Savior, but also friend. Please get the revelation that there is a huge difference between Religion and Relationship. To have a personal Relationship takes complete surrender and you must "abide" 24/7 under His shadow. This means doing what He says and going where He sends. Can you truly say He is YOUR fortress and refuge; is He YOUR God today?? Will you put your trust in Him?? Answer well these questions, my friends for tomorrow I could be preaching YOUR funeral. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't associate yourself with foolish people who don't have good sense, and don't join in with those that tear down others with murmuring, backbiting, and gossiping. These folks are called "dissemblers"; they don't assemble or build anything. They just want to tear down and criticize what others have worked hard to build. Don't be a follower of men, but be a follower of God; read your Bible, listen to the Holy Spirit, and walk in YOUR OWN Integrity. Then the Lord will redeem you and be merciful to you; you will always stand on even, solid ground, and be a blessing to the Lord with your wittnessing. (Psalm 26:4-5, 11-12) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wonderous works." ~Psalm 26:6-7 We were all born sinners and condemned by the Law, so how can we wash our hands in innocency?? Innocency comes only through Faith that God forgives our sin and cleanses us through the blood of Jesus Christ, and don't leave out one more key ingredient; we must REPENT which means to turn from our wicked ways. Momma did not clean you up and put on your good church clothes for you to go back and wallow in the mud hole did she!! "That I may publish" means if we are to be His "witness", we must be clean and innocent. We must walk in integrity if we want to speak with thanksgiving of the Lord's wonderful works. Otherwise, we just join the ranks of liars and hypocrites and damage the cause of Christ. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There have been some rough times for some this week. Must say I've had my own share this week. So what are we going to do about it?? We have two choices: we can "give up" or we can "surrender" and these two words DO NOT mean the same thing. When we "give up", we throw our hands up in the air, give in to preoccupation with our problems, and fall into the pit of self-pity. That's when we let the powers of this world overtake us. BUT, when we "surrender" to the Lord Jesus, we "pray without ceasing" and cast our problems and burdens on Him. Praying brings us into the presence of the Lord and in His presence there is also much POWER. In fact, ALL Power belongs to Him. So instead of being overwhelmed and overtaken by the powers of this world, by the mighty Power and Presence of God Almighty we can be lifted up above our circumstances into the realms of Peace!! Will you choose to "give up" and be overtaken today or will you choose to "surrender" to Jesus and be an overcomer?? My prayer for you today is that the God of Peace will set you aside comepletely from all worries and cares and that He will protect and preserve you completely; spirit, soul, and body. Amen. Please Worship at the church of your choice this week-end. ~Pastor Lynn (1 Thessalonians 5:17,23)
JUST FOR TODAY: Focusing on Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith is very important today and every day. If you are having a bad day, just remember what Jesus went through on the cross in order to be your Lord and Savior. When you consider how much the Lord Loves you and what He has done for you, your mind will not become weary and you will not faint. Jesus is keeping a Loving eye on you today as He sits at the right hand of the throne of God. Much Power and Strength comes with staying focused on Him. ~Pastor Lynn (Hebrews 12:2-3)
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you angry today over being wronged and hurt by someone?? Well, STOP being angry, and forsake your wrath; DO NOT worry and fret yourself by thinking up ways to repay evil with evil. "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those who wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth." You know, it won't be long and the wicked folks "shall not be". That's right. The time will come ...when you go looking for the place of the wicked, and it will be gone!! But remember this: "the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the ABUNDANCE of PEACE". You can stay angry and have a lot of TURMOIL in your life or you can choose to stop being angry and have a lot of PEACE. The choice is yours. ~Pastor Lynn (Psalm 37:8-11)
JUST FOR TODAY: May God give you the revelation of what really is the "exceeding greatness of His power" toward us who believe in His son, Jesus Christ. According to His power that worked in Jesus Christ to raise Him from the dead, God set Jesus on His right hand in Heaven. There Jesus is "far above" and reigns over all nations and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, no...t only in this world, but also in that which is to come". And God has put all things under the feet of Jesus, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the CHURCH. The CHURCH is His body and it is the fulness of Him that fills all in all. If you are "in Christ" then you need to be "in CHURCH". See you in CHURCH Sunday, ~Pastor Lynn (Ephesians 1:19-23)
JUST FOR TODAY: For by GRACE you are saved through FAITH. And you didn't get GRACE or FAITH either one by your own power: they are the gifts of God. GRACE and FAITH cannot be bought with money or earned by works, so no one can boast of themselves. YOU, as a born again believer, are the workmanship of God Almighty, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has already prepared for you and He fully expects you "should walk in them". Don't miss a single opportunity today to do a good work; Love on God, Love on somebody, and tell somebody about Jesus!! (Ephesians 2:8-10)
JUST FOR TODAY: Life can become a real battle. It seems like we are fighting about something all the time. King David cried out to God in times like these that, "my enemies try daily to swallow me up"! Crying out to God means praying with all your heart. Then King David added TRUST to his prayers when he said, "What time I am afraid, I will TRUST in thee. In God I will praise His Word, in God I have put my TRUST". Prayer and Trust in God's Son is powerful enough to deliver your soul from death: surely it's powerful enough to deliver your feet from falling that you may walk before Him in the light of the living. (Psalm 56:2-4,13) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: You have an extremely unique ability that God has given only to humans. And that is the abitlty to choose what you want to focus your mind upon. You can choose to focus on your problems and worries and fears, or you can choose to focus on the presence and the light of Jesus Christ. When you choose to focus on Jesus and His presence shines on all those thoughts that bother you and hinder you, you will find they will ALL melt away. That doesn't mean problems will all go away, but your worrying about them will!! God has promised to "keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed (focused) on thee (Jesus). Trust Jesus for a change and see what happens!! (Isaiah 26:3) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Praise the Lord today for He has heard your prayers!! Do not be depressed by your weariness or fearful of your cirumstances; the Lord is your strength and your protection. If you have put your trust in Him, you are helped. It's a done deal, even if you haven't seen it come to pass yet, it's on the way!! So let your heart rejoice this morning and with your song give Him PRAISE!!! (Psalm 28:6-7) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Be completely honest about everything with God. What good would it do for you to do other wise? You might fool other people and you might even fool yourself, but God has already searched you inside and out and He knows all about you; EVERYTHING. He knows when you are down; He knows when you are up. He understands your thoughts even before you think them. God completely surrounds everything that you do and there are no words you speak that He doesn't hear. So take all of your cares and problems, holding nothing back, to Him; ask Him to forgive and cleanse you of your sins. God is a great help in times of trouble and He is Faithful to forgive you. Just Trust Him and He will lead you in His ways that are everlasting. (Psalm 139:1-4,24) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: When you feel like you have lost your direction and you don't know which way to go, it's time to acknowledge God and give Him credit for being all knowing. When God knows you Love Him and Trust in Him, He will direct your path in the right direction. Don't ever think you are so smart in your own eyes. Instead be reverent and respectful of the Lord; don't hang out and be friends with those that are evil and don't commit evil yourself. Depart and separate yourself from ALL evil! "It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." Being on the right path with a healthy belly and strong bones seems to me like the making of a good trip through this life. (Proverbs 3:6-7) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: This day may not be perfect, but the God that we serve is; He is the Eternal God who is our refuge. We can go through this day with all of its problems and not have to worry and fear because "underneath are the everlasting arms" of our Lord. We shall find safety and prosperity in our God. So be happy all you born again Christians for there are none like us. We are Saved by the Lord, He is our shield when we need help, and He is the Sword of our excellency!! We have found Satan and all of his henchmen to be liars unto us, and we will tread upon them and their lies. Go forward today and give Him Praise all the way!! (Deuteronomy 33:26-29) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The things that weigh us down are things like worry, fear, hate, unforgiveness, and of course "the sin which doth so easily beset us..." We CAN lay aside all of these things and "run with patience the race that is set before us" if we keep our eyes on Jesus and stay focused on Him. Remember how Peter walked on the water? He could do this only while he was looking at Jesus. The moment he took his eyes off Jesus he began to fear and down he went!! "Looking unto Jesus" will always make us winners because HE is the beginning and the finisher of our FAITH!! Let us always keep our eyes upon Jesus, consider always what He endured on the cross for our sakes, and we will never be "wearied and faint" in our minds!! (Hebrews 12:1-3) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: What mighty work is God doing through your life because of your FAITH?? Oh....not much lately?? Maybe you better quit walking by what you see and get you some of this substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You can read in your Bible about all kinds of folks who through their FAITH subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mo...uths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, and turned to flight the armies of foreign nations!! Lord please help us walk in FAITH today and may you wrought mighty works in us all. GIVE HIM PRAISE!! (HEBREWS 11:1, 33, 34) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: I'll never forget the first time I wore a tuxcedo for a piano recital. I thought I looked pretty snazzy in that black tux, but as I look back I realize that puttin' me in a tux was kinda like puttin' whipped cream on an onion!! I may have had on some fancy duds, but I was still just a little country boy from Cement, OK on the inside. We need to remember that, "...the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7) Lord please help us to have hearts that are better than anything we could possible wear on the outside. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: It is written: "And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." ~Exodus 33:14. Instead of worrying about the events of this day or any other day, let God Almighty plan your day for you and you can "rest" in His Power and Control of your circumstances. At best, you have only a vague idea of what might happen this day, while God knows exactly what this day holds and how to handle it. Whatever this day holds for you, your best preparation for it is to spend quality time with the Lord. Repeat after me: JESUS, PLEASE HELP ME AND GUIDE ME THIS DAY. (repeat daily for best results) Now kick back, rest, and get ready for a great week-end!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "He that believeth on the Son (Jesus Christ) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." ~John 3:36. There is no neutral ground here; you either is or you ain't!! If you do believe, then the vows and promises of God are upon you. So, render praises unto HIM! For He has delivered your soul from death, and He will also deliver your feet from falling, that you may walk before God in the light of the living. (Psalm 56:12-13) If you do not believe, better take a look at that "wrath of God" thing and re-think your position. Do you really think that being an enemy of God is a wise thing to do?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The number one priority in your life today should be to put your Trust in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. When you put your Trust in Jesus and "believe upon him", God the Father, who is a God of Hope, will fill you with Joy and Peace in your believing; this abundance of Joy and Peace does not come from nor is sustained by your own power, but through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Make sure you share this abundance of Hope, Joy, Peace, and Power to lift up others around you and show the world the goodness of God. Can I get a witness out there?? (Romans 15:13-14) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We have a new year!!! This will be a year of new challenges and new opportunities. Don't mess it up by clinging to old ways and bad habits. Come to the Lord Jesus with a teachable mind and a willingness to recieve the newness that He has to offer. This new year's journey requires being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your circumstances will not change unless you change your mindset and let it be renewed by the Holy Spirit!! Romans 12:2 ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11 Do you believe God meant what he said in the words of this scripture?? Then look forward with great hope and expectations for the coming new year. Walk in the light and the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ and send Satan on down the road along with the worry and fear he intended to lay on you!! Who has time for that?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: This nation has defiled the things of God too long and enough is enough. Don't you think that God must be really tired of being shoved in a dark corner and replaced with idols. Are there idols? Let's count just a few: money, jobs, sports, hobbies, media personalities, casinos, drugs, alchohol, pleasures of the flesh, and the list goes on and on of things that we put first in front of God. And even worse, we cover it up with indifference or flat out rebellion!! God says it's time to defile the covering up of our idol worship and cast it out like a filthy rag!! If we would say to our idols, "Get thee hence" and put God back where He belongs (in front of every thing else), we would see prosperity come like never before and the Lord would "bindeth up the breach of His people, and healeth the stroke of their wound." ( Isaiah 30:22-26) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Your day may have started off lousy, but just remember, the kingdom of God belongs to you. You may have already suffered some great loss today but please remember, Jesus will be with you to comfort you. You may feel that you are on the very bottom of the totum pole, but remember, you will inherit and reign the earth right along with Jesus Christ!! No matter what your circumstances are today, get up and go after life with hunger and thirst for doing things the right way; God's way, and you will be filled according to His riches in Heaven!! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!! ~Pastor Lynn (Matthew 5:3-6)
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't be afraid of Holiness. The word "Holy" sometimes strikes fear in our heart because we think it is something that we cannot attain. We think we cannot be "good enough" to be Holy. That is a lie from Hell!! Being Holy doesn't mean that we have to be "better" than anybody; it simply means that our life is set aside or "sanctified" for sacred use by the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus "make you to increase and abound in Love one toward another, and toward all men... To the end He may establish your hearts unblameable in Holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. If you are not being used by God, then you are not ready for the coming of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Step out today Trusting God completely from the very center of your being; with all your heart!! You make a wise decision when you do this because God is the only one who is completely Trustworthy and Infalible. What will you "lean" on today to hold you up and keep you from falling? Your own wisdom and understanding?? Don't you think that God is just a tad smarter than you are?? Whatever direction you travel today, make sure that you consult with the Lord in prayer before you take a single step, and the Holy Spirit will guide you in the way that you should go. Any life journey you take today will be more pleasurable if the Lord Jesus is your traveling companion!! ~Pastor Lynn (Proverbs 3:5-6)
JUST FOR TODAY: There are only two kinds of people in the world; those that are with Jesus and those that are without. Those "with" and those "without" both only have X amount of time in this life. That is why those "with" should "walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time". In other words, we don't have all the time in the world to go to those "without" Christ before it is too late. Choose your words wisely; "Let your speech be always with GRACE, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man." Harsh words must be replaced with the kindness of unmerited favor. A little salt makes food taste better; make sure that your words are tasty as well. (Colossians 4:5-6) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Make this day a day of excellence in all that you do!! What ever you're gonna do today, do it with all of your heart; do it as unto the Lord, and not unto men. Why? Well, who do you think will reward you with the greatest inheritance- man or God?? Your most excellent choice today would be to serve the Lord Christ!! And don't forget: "... he that doeth wrong shall recieve for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons". (Colossians 3:25) You will reap what you sow this day, and bad circimstances will never get any better if you continue to make bad choices. Make excellent choices today and may the Lord richly bless you in all that you do. (Colossians 3:23-25) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't give God your money, your time, or your "good works" without giving Him what He really wants the most...Your heart!! Giving God your heart is what brings you into His Presence; in that secret place is what keeps you on the right path in life and awakens your soul to the fullest Joy known to mankind. If you will only search for God's Presence and His Joy, He will surely bless you with it because He is searching for you to give it to you. You give Him your Heart and He gives you His Presence and Joy; now that's RELATIONSHIP!!!! (Psalm 16:8-11) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Did you ever have to try and get a present for someone who has everything they need and want?? It's hard to do isn't it? God is kind of like that; He already owns everything anyway. What shall we "render unto the Lord for all His benefits" toward us?? The greatest gift you can give to God is simply to accept the most important gift that He has to offer you; that is to "take the cup of salvation" He has offered by the blood of His son and to "call upon the name" of His precious son, Jesus Christ. The only Present that God ever really wanted was your Love. Believe on John 3:16 and be saved today!! ~Pastor Lynn (Psalm 116:12-13)
JUST FOR TODAY: All things are possible with God. It is always best to take the first step of crying out to God when trouble comes, but sometimes folks get so down they are too weak or mentally uncapable to quench the burning thoughts of suicide brought on by deep depression. That is when God can answers the cries of help even before they are cried out; he is not limited by time or space. Been there, done that. It is always God's call one way or the other. Maybe it's not our time; maybe God's not through with us yet; maybe God has some great future plans for our life? Only God has the answer to these questions. As for me, I am very thankful to be walking before God among the land of the living even though there was a time I was to dumb to cry out to Him!!! GIVE HIM PRAISE!!!~Pastor Lynn (Psalm 116:7-9)
JUST FOR TODAY: Depression.....the jaws of depression clamp down when the "pains of hell gat hold upon" you; it happens when you find more trouble and sorrow than your soul can deal with. So what are you going to do?? Wallow in it....fill your vocabulary with the words "if" and "but" to justify it?? That won't help much. The "fix" for depression is much more simple than you think: Call upon the name of the Lord; cry out, "O Lord, I beg you to deliver my soul!!". Sound too easy?? Well, just remember that Jesus is gracious; He will show you favor when you don't deserve it, and He always does "the right thing". When you are brought low, Jesus is ALWAYS there to help. (Psalm 116:3-6) ~ Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus Loves you with an everlasting Love, which flows from the depths of Eternity!! Before you were born, He knew you. That sounds impossible because we are limited by the principles of time and space, but we must remember that jesus is not limited by anything and all things are possible with Him. Maybe we should stop and think about the fact that the Love of Jesus surrounds us from BEFORE we were born to BEYOND the grave. Take time today to be still and experience His Presence and His eternal Love. Our ultimate protection from the storms of life are developed during times such as these. (Jeremiah 31:3, Lamentations 3:22-26) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Wouldn't it be nice if the Lord would hear our cries for help and answer back "here I am"; if only He would make our light to rise and shine out of obscurity; If He would make our darkness to be as bright as the noon day sun. Then "draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul". We reap what we sow. If you want or need compasion from the Lord in your life, then you sure better be showing it to those around you. "And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." (Isaiah 58:9-11) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Many people sit in darkness today; some are sick and lay in the shadow of death; some are afflicted with the darkness of a prison cell. We bring much of what we suffer on ourselves because we rebel against the Words of God and we have contempt for "the counsel of the most High". Therefore we fall and there is sometimes no one to help. "Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses". The Lord will bring you out of the darkness and the shadow of death, and He will break the bonds of the prison doors. "Oh that men would Praise the Lord for His goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" (Psalm 107:10-15) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not even start to come before the Lord without being Thankful and always come to Him with Praise and Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Why should we be Thankful and Bless His name?? Because the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, it never ends; and His Truth endures to all generations. This is how we enjoy abundant life, by letting Praise and Thankfulness continually flow from our heart to His. (Psalm 100:4-5) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: With all the filth, worthless clutter, and downright evil in the path of our young people in todays society, how in the world can they hope to clear and cleanse their way to walk a path of decency and doing the right thing. There is only one hope, and that is for young people to lift up every situation and circumstance to see if it lines up with the Word of God. Do the young people in your life own Bibles? Have they "hid the Word of God" in their hearts that they might not sin against Him?? (Psalm 119:9-11) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't expect things out of people that only God can supply. Sometimes we expect too much out of other people. We are only human and none of us are perfect, so don't be suprised when others are unable or unwilling to meet YOUR expectations of them. It is best to place your expectations on God Almighty. "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectaion is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God." (Psalm 62: 5-7) May your greatest expectaions be met by the Love and Power of the Lord Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus shines His radiant Love down on all of us constantly, and His Presence in our life is what really makes life worth living. Since His Presence is always constant, why do we sometimes feel like it is missing in our life? The Presence of the Lord Jesus is freely given but the problem lies in our reception of it. There are only two things that block our vision of His Presence and that is lack of Thankfulness and Trust (Faith). Be Thankful for His Presence and "Trust in Him at all times; Ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us." (Psalm 63:5-8) May the Lord bless you richly with His radiant Love and Presence, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We all like to show people our "stuff"; come look at my new truck!! Come look at my new bass boat!! Come look at my new.........(fill in the blank)!! This may impress your friends and neighbors, but I'm not real sure it impresses God?? If you really want to make an eternal impression on folks and please God at the same time, show 'em your Faith in the Lord Jesus. Can I get a witness!!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: It is a well known fact that you cannot please God without Faith. So use your Faith today every chance you get. One great way to use your Faith is to believe in God's goodness. Even if things are not going all that well for you today, use your Faith to "see the goodnes of the Lord" coming your way. Now you just have to wait a little while until it comes to pass; be of good courage and the Lord will "strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord". It is always a "good" day when the Lord is pleased and your heart is strengthened. May the Lord richly bless you today. (Psalm 27:13-14) ~Pastor
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you content to be a simple sheep, listening for the voice of your shepherd? "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." The Lord Jesus is the best, kindest, and most Loving leader you could ever have; be very careful not to fall into the trap of following anything or anyone else but Him. (Psalm 23:1-3) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath "begotten us again" (born us again) unto a "LIVELY HOPE" (hope that is ALIVE) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptable ( not capable of dying), and undefiled ( never damaged), and that fadeth not away ( always present), reserved in Heaven for YOU ( your place is held and waiting just for you), Who are kept by the POWER of God through FAITH unto SALVATION ready to be revealed in the last time." (1 Peter 1:3-5) This is a description of REAL Salvation; not fake, not counterfiet, not "play like", and certainly not temporary. Real Salvation is ETERNAL SALVATION and can never be "lost". How could you lose something that is powered by God Almighty through REAL Faith?? You can believe what you want to, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing is EVER going to separate me from the Love of my Lord. (Romans 8:38-39) ~Pastor Lynn
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father thank you so much for the beauty you have poured out into our lives; from majestic mountains of the great outdoors to the miracle of the birth of tiny puppies. ALL good things come from you Lord and we come into your courts with Praise!! Lord please soften our hearts and give us the desire to help those that are less fortunate than we are. Lord Help us to be more like you; full of mercy, forgiveness, grace, and a giving heart. Please give us an increase in Love you and our fellow man, and may the name of Jesus be forever defended and lifted up. ~AMEN ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians chapter two, "Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same Love (Loving God and each other), being of one accord (having the same purpose; telling everybody about Jesus), of one mind (staying focused on the Lord Jesus)." You cannot accomplish these goals through fighting or worthless self-satisfaction. We will never lead anybody to the Lord by being High minded; honoring and admiring ourselves more than others. (Philippians 2:2-3) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: God is working in you this day that you should have the will (the desire or the "want to") and actually then do the things that please HIM!! So when you feel an uncontrollable desire to do something good for someone today, don't worry about it, JUST DO IT!! And the most important thing to remember about this whole process is this: DO EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO WITHOUT COMPLAINING AND WITH OUT ARGUEING!! This is what makes you a blameless and Sincere child of God without rebuke, in the middle of a nation that has drifted far from God. You can be a light unto the world today by being obedient to the Spirit and lifting up the Gospel of Christ!! ( Philippians 2:13-16) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: It is of the Lord's Love and mercies that we are not consumed or destroyed, because his compassions never fail. His Love and compassion, they are brand new every morning and we can depend on them because of His great Faithfullness. Deep in our souls, we can say that the Lord is our portion, our everything..... because when you get right down to it, He is all that we really have. If you believe this with all of your heart, then with complete Trust, put your Hope in Him. May His Grace and Peace be mulitiplied unto you many times over. (Lamentations 3:22-24) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: When you are "obedient" to God in believing in His Son, Jesus, that is when Jesus becomes "Christ in you, the Hope of Glory". This is sometimes hard to understand and comprehend, but the one who walks beside you, holding your hand, is the same one who now lives inside you!! You and the Lord Jesus now have intimate bonds of Love in every fiber of your body. The light of His Presence not only shines on you but inside you as well. He is in you and you are in Him....and there is absolutely nothing, NOTHING in Heaven or earth that can separate you from Him!! So go about your business today with confidence and may the Lords Grace and Peace be multiplied to you many times over!! (Colossians 1:27, Romans 15:13 & Romans 8:38-39) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The Apostle Paul wrote, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.." Do you think that you are self-sufficient? Are you foolish enough to think that when you stand before God on your own sufficiency that you will live to tell about it?? Eternal life is not dependant on independance; it is dependant on your OBEDIENCE to believe upon the name of Jesus Christ and the sprinkling of His precious BLOOD to cleanse you of all sin. There is NO substitute for OBEDIENCE and the BLOOD!! (2 Corithians 3:5, 1 Peter 1:2) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not hesitate to receive all the good things that God has for you today. Does it make sense to feel guility about being richly blessed because you think you don't deserve it?? Of course you don't "deserve" God's blessings, but none of us do. Just be thankful today that the Kingdom of God is not about earning and deserving; it is about believing and receiving!! Ask and you will recieve; knock and the door will open. Today is your time of Abundance. (Luke 11:9-10) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: How long must we continue to witness and preach the word of God? ....For as long as there are people who need to hear it!! Let's open our Spiritual eyes and look around at all the hurting, desperate, and lost souls in our communities and around the world. We must "Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace.." (Acts 18:9) God still has many people He wants us to reach and He will be with us and protect us as we continue to Love Him, Love each other, and tell everyone we can about the beautiful story of Jesus Christ. (Acts 18:9-10) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: May the good Lord bless you with the knowledge and confidence that together with Him, you can handle any circumstance or situation. We gain this knowledge and confidence through our personal relationship with Jesus, through studying the Bible and learning about all of His Precious Promises, and through our past experiences when He proved to us that He always help us get through the hard times. Our Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. "For thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end". (Psalm 102:27) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Once and for all, why don't you decide to quit holding on to the things in your life that you know the Lord wants you to throw away. Join the Lord Jesus in His work to clear out all of the junk in your life so that His Spirit can take complete control of your life. Trust the Lord to remove anything and anybody from your life that He chooses. After all, isn't He the only one that knows what you really need? Isn't He the one that will meet ALL of your needs according to His riches in Glory?? Start learning right now to release everything to the Holy Spirit and recieve everything that He has to offer; you will find that He is your light, your salvation, and your strength. (Psalm 27:1) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thy self also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalm 37:3-4) Just imagine what a great day you will have if you Trust God completely, do only what is good and pleasing in His sight, and simply delight yourself in the light of His Presence. What will happen?? ALL of your needs will be met, ALL those around you will be drawn to Jesus because they will want what you have, God will have a big smile on His face, and the Devil will hate that you woke up this morning!! GIVE HIM PRAISE!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Satan, you have hosed me down today with all kinds of problems and distractions. Is that all you've got?? You better quit messin' with me because I am a child of the most high God!! My well being does not depend on any circumstances that you have stuck your nasty finger in. My well being and Joy are firmly and forever connected to the "precious promises" of my Lord: He is always with me no matter what I do or where I go; He will meet all of my needs according to His glorious riches in Heaven; and there is NOTHING that Satan, or anyone else can do to separate me from His Love!! On top of all that, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens ME!!! Take that, Satan, and get back under my feet where you belong! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Many folks will waste a lot of time and energy today trying to control their circumstances. They think that if things are going well that they will be happy; and if things are not going well then they will be sad. But the truth is it is possible to be content in any and every situation if we put our time and energy into Trusting the Lord and enjoying His Presence. Jesus never puts up a barrier between you and His Presence; we do that to ourselves when we put our Trust in ourself or anything else. You can live as close to the Lord Jesus today as you choose!! Choose wisely and have a blessed day. (Philippians 4:12, Romans 8:38-39) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: It is time that you get a good night's sleep tonight, so tell your soul to return to rest; Rest in your Faith that Jesus has already dealt bountifully with you and all of your problems. You don't have the Power to even see into the future, let alone the ability to "fix" what lies ahead, but the Lord Jesus can, He will, and He has already!! "For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling". (Psalm 116:8) If you believe this, speak it, rest easy tonight, and tomorrow you will "...walk before the Lord in the land of the living". GIVE HIM PRAISE!!! (Psalm 116: 7-9) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We make a big mistake if we run away from God and work like crazy to make our life what we think it should be. So what is the answer? God says "in returning (to God) and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence (Trust) shall be your strength". Returning to God, resting, quietness, and Trusting.... sounds much better than running (especially the wrong way) and working (especially for the wrong reasons). May your day be filled with Salvation and Strength in the Lord Jesus. (Isaiah 30:15) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Lack of Faith causes us to be blind to the things of God. We cannot see past the end of our nose Spiritually, and we will forget who purged us from our old sins. So do not let your Faith slip away from you. Instead, with all diligence, work to keep your Faith strong and growing that you may be sure of your calling and salvation; If you do these things, you will not fall: "For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly (A door will open to more than meet your needs) into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." If you want to enter into the everlasting kingdom of God, don't forget your key.....FAITH!!! (2 Peter 1: 9-11) ~Pastor Lynn JUST FOR TODAY: There are things that must be added to our Faith with all diligence and the process goes in this order. To your Faith add virtue (goodness), then add to your virtue knowledge (the Holy Spirit will teach you all things). Add to your knowledge moderation; stay on the straight and narrow; don't wander into the bar ditch of being a radical on one side to not caring about anything on the other. Now add to moderation a good dose of Patience...they don't call it "longsuffering for nothin'. Now add Godliness; do it the way God would do it; remember WWJD? Now add kindness and top it all off with the most important ingredient of all....LOVE!! If these things abound in you, you will not be barren or unfruitful. You will become useable to God and put a big smile on His face!! (2 Peter 1:5-8) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We should all be very thankful for the precious Faith that we have obtained. Like all good things, Faith comes to us from above "through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:1). Faith allows us to grow and increase in knowledge about God and Jesus our Lord. This knowledge is what increases and multiplies for us more and more unmerited favor (Grace) and Peace. Your Faith is indeed very precious; take care of it and nurture it for Faith is what opens the gate of Divine Power in your life and all things that are Godly. Faith is calling you today to the Glory of God and His Goodness!!! (1 Peter 1:1-3) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: I have good news for you today. The Lord is going to bless you with many good things, and He is going to keep you on His mind and under his protection. The light from His face is shining on you so you can see and walk in the right direction. He is going to be gracious to you and give you way more good things than you deserve. He is going to lay on your heart His ways and His countenance so you will live and do the things that please Him; in return your will recieve something you desparately need in todays society....PEACE. God is such a good Daddy to His Children!! Honor God with the way your live and wear His name proudly and with Thanksgiving. (Numbers 6:22-27) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There are many lessons about the Gospel of Christ that we must learn and accept; we must listen and watch how Godly people live there lives and then do those things as well. What things? The things that are TRUE, things that are HONEST, things that are JUST, things that are PURE, things that are of LOVE, things that are of GOOD REPORT; A "GOOD REPORT" is one that reports of the virtuous and goodness of God's actions, and give us reasons that He should recieve our Praise. Think on these things and keep them on your mind; and the God of peace shall be with you. Thinking otherwise leads to chaos, dissatisfaction, and falling into sin. (Philippians 4:8-9) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: We need to understand that whoever or whatever we yield ourselves to as servants, that is who or what we will obey. The choice is ours; we can obey sin unto death or we can obey righteousness unto eternal life. If we serve sin we are free of righteousness, but if we serve righteousness we are free from sin. Jesus said that we could not serve two masters; we will hate one or the other. Is living in sin so tempting that we would obey it and die?? "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life throught Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). I think the better choice would be to obey righteousness unto eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Would you agree?? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: This old world sure seems to be going haywire these days. Seems like everywhere we look that wrong-doers and sin abound. It is true that sin surely abounds, but we must never forget that the GRACE of God abounds even more....much more. It is true that sin has led us into death of our mortal bodies; but even so, God's Grace will lead us through righteousness all the way to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. So what's the score? Sin and the Devil are zero; Grace and the righteousness of Jesus Christ is EVERYTHING!! (Romans 5:20-21) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Rejoice in the Lord alway; and again I say Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." (Philippians 4:4-5 KJV) Rejoice in the Lord "alway" (no "s" on the end of "alway"). Does this mean to rejoice "all the time" or "in all your ways"?? Let's do both to make sure we get it right. Are you way right or way left; Do others see you as a radical for your cause or do they see the other end of the spectrum as someone who just doesn't care one way or the other. Neither of these positions are correct scripturally. The Apostle Paul says to show 'em your moderation. Remember "the Lord is at hand" and that means He is close, very close. That means we better be producing Spiritual Fruit and not acting like religeous nuts!! ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "...so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved." (Philippians 4:1) Paul wrote this to the folks he truly Loved at the first church he planted in Europe. The term "stand fast" means to stay where you are and be firmly secured or tied to the Lord. Paul wrote this because he knew that our Lord is ALWAYS Faithful and Trustworthy; he will never leave or forsake us, but sometimes we are not always so. We live in a society that is prone to "church hop" or fall away or "turn loose" completely of the Lord. A Loving relationship with the Lord takes two; He will ALWAYS stand fast in you. Will you always do the same for Him? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Be always ready to do good works and do not speak evil of any man. Do not be a brawler, but instead be gentle and show meekness to all men. Why? Because that person you would like to speak evil about and punch out probably hasn't done anything that you haven't already done your own self....or maybe even worse. After all the things that we have done, the kindness and Love of God our Saviour still appeared to us even though we sure didn't deserve it!! Maybe we should act according to the Mercy that has been shown to us?? This is a Faithful saying that we should affirm constantly. (Titus 3:1-8) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, and it is especially bad when they show up from out of God's own people. Their mouths must be stopped before they cause cracks and chisms or completely break up the home of a family or even the house of God, teaching things which they ought not, all for the sake of filthy lucre!! Yes, that's what it all boils down to isn't it? It's always about the money. It is truly a shame that money causes us so many problems because money is just like everything else; it all belongs to God anyway. (Titus 1:10-11) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Paul wrote to the young Preacher, Titus, "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." (Titus 2:11-15) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There is a time coming when people will not endure solid teaching. They will run from teacher to teacher, piling them up trying to find one that will teach only what they want to hear. They will turn away from listening to the Truth, and instead will be turned on by the latest "new age" teaching thought up by some man instead of God's Word. This time is coming sooner than you think, and I believe that it is already here. Don't get caught up in this nonsense and pay attention to what you let your ears hear. There has never been a time when reading the Bible for yourself has been more important!! Beware of having itchy ears; when something sounds to good to be true....it probably isn't. (2 Timothy:3-4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't just Trust God up to a certain point and then fall away from Him. God expects us to always have an underlying confidence in Him and His sovereign control of the universe. Don't be one of those who Jesus must speak to saying, "why are you so fearful, O you of little Faith?" (Matthew 8:26) Are you peacefully resting in His Presence; have you reached that point of total oneness with Him? Oneness with God not only makes us blameless in His sight, it also makes us a profound Joy to Him. Let's put a smile on God's face with our Faith!! ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: We all experience times of turmoil and lack of strength in our life. If your life is a wreck and you feel so weak that you cannot handle the stress of it all, DO NOT give up Hope!! God has promised in His Word that if we keep our mind stayed (focused) upon Him that He will keep us in perfect Peace. If you have no Peace that means you have lost your focus. God says to Trust in Him for ever; that means Trust Him ALL the time: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. You will always find the strength you need if you will always put your Trust in God. Focus and Trust God, and may your day be filled with Peace and Strength! (Isaiah 26:3-4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: When you get in your car today, take a look at the size of your rear view mirror, and then take a look at the size of your windshield. Taking that into account, what do you think is most important; looking at where you have been, or looking at where you are going?? Paul didn't claim to know everthing but he said there is one thing that I do know, "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." This doesn't mean to look into the future, but look at what's in front of you in the present. God is calling you today to have Faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Now that is a prize!!(Philippians 3:13-14) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Repeat after me: I will do....EVERTHING that I do.....without complaining..... and without argueing. Try doing this for one solid week and see how much better your life and the life of those around you can be. What does this prove? It will prove that your will is lined up with God's will and that you truly want to live your life to bring HIM pleasure; that it will be known that you are a sincere child of god without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you will shine as a light in the world; you will be lifting up the word of life (Jesus Christ). Come on people!! Are we real or play-like Christians?? (Philippians 2:14-16) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: When people we know and fellowship with "fall off the wagon" so to speak, many times the so called "good" Christians that we are will give them the "left foot of fellowship" and are oh so quick to condemn our brother. But the Bible says that if someone makes a mistake, we should show them the error of their way and convert them back to traveling the right road. If we act in this manner, we not only save a soul from death but we also hide a multitude of our own sins. (james 5:19-20). But I thought "fervent Love" amoung ourselves was what covered a multitude of sins? (1 Peter 4:8) Could it be that Peter told us WHAT to have and James shows us HOW to use it??? Our actions speak much louder than our words. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Have you ever noticed that people who the world thinks can't be successful or can't "cut it" are always able to cut anything that needs cutting IF they have surrendered their life to Jesus? Surrender to men indicates physical defeat and weakness, but surrender to Jesus Christ releases an incredible amount of power in our life and Spiritual victory throughout eternity. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, EVEN our faith." (1 John 5:4)~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Some how, some way let's tell somebody about Jesus today. If your unsaved loved ones, friends, co-workers or strangers had any idea how great the gift of God is; if they only knew how real and powerful Jesus is, like the woman at the well, they too might ask of him, and he would give them "living water". People can't come to Jesus unless someone who really knows him tells them about Him. There is no greater gift you could give some one than sharing "the good news" about Jesus. (John 4:10) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There are many people out there that are completely destroyed and "burned out" by the lifestyle of todays culture; Some folks spend every waking hour grieving and mourning over the circumstances of their family; People are under such a spirit of heaviness they can no longer function and bare that kind of stress on their life. What can you do about it? It is your Christian duty and calling to point out to them that only God will give them beauty for their ashes; only God will remove the mourning and grieving and replace it with a life of JOY; only God can turn the spirit of a heavy heart into one of Praise!! Tell them about Jesus so they can be called "trees of righteousness", planted by the Lord himself that HE might be glorified!!! (Isaiah 61:3) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: I looked in my barn today looking for some things I had stored away. It was amazing to discover what the dust and the moths and the mice had done to some of my stored up treasures. There were even a few things missing that I'm sure I had put in there. I don't know why I was so surprised because Jesus said, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal." He also told us that our hearts would be where our treasure was. Where is your heart today; is it in the barn or is it in Heaven? (Matthew 6:19-21) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: What should you do about someone who speaks evil about you, someone one who hates you, they despitefully use you, and persecute you?? Jesus said that we should Love them; we should speak good of them and not speak evil about them in return; and that we should pray for them. Why should we be so good to others who have treated us so badly? Because we are children of the most high God and we should follow His example. He makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust. He forgave you, didn't He? Be like your Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 5: 44-48) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There is a day coming for the proud and the wicked, and that day will burn like an oven. Those who are without reverence for God and no respect for Him will be burned up from head to toe. BUT.... for you who reverence God Almighty and respect His name, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings; you shall not perish and you shall continue on in eternal life with everything you could possibly need. Jesus didn't stay dead and He won't stay gone! He is coming back for those who believe in Him and obey His commandments. Don't you think it's time to chunk the prideful attitude and the wicked ways? That day may be coming sooner than you think. (Malachi 4:1-2) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Have you ever done anything wrong? Have you committed actions in your life for which you need mercy and forgiveness? Do yourself a favor today and forgive someone who has wronged YOU. Maybe it's someone who hurt your feelings; maybe they made you angry; maybe they owe you money; whatever it is you really need to show them mercy and forgiveness because you will get more out of it than than they will. For if you forgive others, God will also forgive you; But if you don't forgive others, then God will not forgive you either. God is very serious about that reaping and sowing thing. (Matthew 6:14-15) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: You don't have to chase after prosperity. Prosperity will chase after you if you live your life the way God says to live it. You will be blessed if you don't live by the advise of the ungodly; don't follow the ways of those who live against God's will; don't sit around and join in with those who are scornful, bitter, and complaining. Instead of living this way, take delight in the ways of the Lord; think on His ways both day and night. Live in this manner and you will always be fruitful and constantly growing; and everything that you do will prosper!! Jesus told us to always seek the Kingdom of God first, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Psalms 1:1-3, Matthew 6:33) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not be afraid today because God is with you: Do not be all upset and worried because HE IS YOUR GOD!! Will He strengthen you? YES!! Will He help you? YES!! Will He lift you up with His right hand of righteousness?? YES HE WILL!!! When we get down and out it sometimes seems there is no way or no one who can come to our aid and help us, but God hears about our situations even before we call out to Him. He is OUR God and He WILL NOT forsake His children who put their Trust in Him. (Isaiah 41:10,17) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: God has given all of us a great responsibilty in the behalf of the Lord Jesus; not only must we believe on him, but we must also allow him to use our life for HIS sake as He sees fit. Sometimes we get to thinking that we know the right ways and the right answers without listening to the Holy Spirit or reading our Bibles, but this kind of thinking always leads to disapointment, defeat, disaster, and distruction!! No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. "Through" Him means by the death and shedding of His Blood, by His resurrection from the dead, and obeying the life and the path that HE choses. "suffering for Jesus" means that you no longer get to do it YOUR way. (philippians 1:29) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: What do we discuss and visit about when we get together one on one or in a group with our friends? Do we only allow conversation that is uplifting and becoming to the Gospel of Christ or do we let our tongues wag out of control? We must remember that EVERYONE, including the Lord Jesus will hear of your affairs and the things that you talk about. Let's not get involved in such conversations that lead to back biting and gossip. Instead, let us stand solid in the Holy Spirit, with one mind which is the mind of Christ!! If we don't do this and start working together, how can we ever lead unbelievers to have Faith in the Gospel?? (Philippians 1:27) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Look at it this way: the eye of the Lord is upon them that respect Him and are reverent toward Him. It is our hope in God's Mercy and protection that causes Him to keep an eye on us. He watches over us constantly and He will deliver our soul from death; He will keep us alive during times of famine and hard times. We must wait on the Lord because He is our help and our shield. We will surely rejoice in the Lord, because we have put our trust in His Holy Name!! Put your trust in anything else and your rejoicing will be very short lived or never come at all. (Psalm 33: 18-21) ~ Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: ....the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord!! By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Let all the earth reverence and respect the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For when He spoke, it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. (Psalm 33:5,6,8,9,12) Are you standing in awe of God today or are you kicked back and taking Him for granted? Maybe we should not be so concerned with what we will inherit, but who will inherit us!! ~Walker JUST FOR TODAY: "...It is God which works in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13). Are you going to listen to His Holy Spirit today; will you line your will up with His and do the things that please Him? If so, then "do all things without murmurings (complaining) and dispute (argueing)". (2:14). This will prove that you are a true and sincere child of God, even in the middle of a "crooked and perverse nation", and that the light of God's Love will shine unto all people through YOU. (2:15). It is time for all Christians to be "holding forth the word of life". This doesn't mean we are to be preaching God's word; it means we are to be LIVING IT!!! (2:16). ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There was a time when I was a man of many sorrows. It seemed that no matter how hard I worked, nothing every seemed to ever really work out. Then one day when my life had fallen completely apart, I decided I needed to return to the God of my youth. When I put my Trust in Jesus, slowly but surely, my life began to turn around. The Lord's Mercy (favor) began to cover every area of my life. Now I am glad in a loving relationship with the Lord, and I rejoice to be a child of God. I shout for JOY today will all of you who have the Spirit of Jesus in your heart!! (Psalm 32: 10-11) The mercy of the Lord comes upon you in direct proportion to the amount of hope and trust you put in Him, AND there is no substitute for obedience. (Psalm 33:22) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Jesus said unto him, " Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment." (Matthew 22:37-38). To Love God with all your heart does not mean to Love him literally with the organ that pumps your blood, but from the very center of your being. Your soul (mind, will, and emotions) should be filled with Love for God and smack-dab in the middle of all you do and all that you are. This commandment is number one for a reason; this is where true life and living really begin. If you start with getting #1 right, you are going to have a great day today no matter what your circumstances may be. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: No matter who is around you, they are going to "...hear of your affairs". In other words, people around you are listening to the things you say and watching how you live your life. Are you and your friends "standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel"? There should never be any doubt in the minds of those around you of your Faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is your responsiblity on the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but to allow all those you come in contact with you to see that belief in action. Today is the day, and the time is now for all believers to "Christian Up"!!! "Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ...." (Philippians 1:27-30) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we (God's people) will remember the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7) In the time of King David, war chariots pulled by fast and powerful horses were the most powerful weapons of the day. In our time, some folks are still putting their trust in what they consider to be the powerful things of this world; economics, politics, even religion, but they too are like horses and chariots. "They are brought down and fallen: but we (God's people) are risen, and stand upright." (Psalm 20:8) Will you remember the Lord your God today? Will you rise up and stand upright for the things in your life that you know are Godly and the right thing to do? Will you put your trust in the one who will never be "brought down and fallen"? If we are truly a nation of God's people, it is high time we started acting like it. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5). If you are doing "nothing" that means you have lost YOUR focus on Jesus because Jesus will never leave or forsake YOU. He will ALWAYS remain in you, but the question is will YOU remain in HIM?? Will you open you Spiritual eyes and see where He is at work and join Him?? Will you open you Spiritual ears to listen to the guidance and instruction of His Holy Spirit?? We must close our mouths to making excuses of why no fruit is being produced in our lives. It is not enough for Jesus to be in us; We must also be in Him. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians that he wanted them to understand something; He wanted them to know that all of his circumstances, good and bad, happened to him to further the Gospel of Christ. (Philippians 1:12) What a wonderful frame of mind. Paul was so focused on Jesus and he KNEW that God was in control of ALL of his circumstances, that he never complained in any situation that he found himself. His desire was that his bonds in Christ would be made known in all the palace, and in all other places; even in prison. (Philippians 1:13) We could turn this country around if we would all glorify Christ today; no matter what our circumstances. Let the rest of the world complain, but let us Praise our Lord of Grace and Peace. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you "...Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ , unto the glory and praise of God." ? The answer is "YES" if you you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Born again believers are all being filled with the righteousness of Jesus and the fruits of His Spirit. "...the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Forgiveness, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, and Moderation; agaist such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23) It is truly wonderful to be "filled" with such good qualities, but it is even more wonderful if you release them into the world for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. (Philippians 1:11) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Accept this day that the Lord has given you. You will waste a lot of energy if you try to change circumstances that the Lord has given you. Trust God in all things and yield to His purposes. For God says, "I created you, I am the one who formed you. Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, and YOU are mine." Whatever you are going through, God is with you. He will not let the waters wash you away or allow the fire to burn you. Why? Because HE is the Lord YOUR God!! (Isiah 43:1-3) Seek the Peace that Jesus has already given you. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: This is for those who are weary of stress and constant fighting: "..he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him ESCHEW EVIL, and do good; let him SEEK PEACE and ENSUE it." (1 Peter 3:10-11) "Eschew" means to avoid or abstain from using or participating. So if it's evil, don't use it or participate in it. "Ensue" means to follow as a consequence or result. So if you really want Peace in your life, pursue it; go looking for it; get after it and it will follow as a consequence and result of YOUR actions. True Peace is really out there because that is the one thing that Jesus left for us before he ascended to the Father. You just have to look to Jesus and not loose your focus to find it. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Try this and see what happens. See how many times you can bless the Lord today: allow your PRAISE for God to be continually in your mouth. Be a witness for His goodness: If you are going to brag about something, boast of the things that God has done for you, and all those around you will be gald to hear it. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt and lift up His name together!! God is challenging all of us to "....taste and see that the Lord is good...". You will be greatly blessed if you put your trust in the Lord TODAY. (Psalm 34:1-3, 8) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you Love to live? Do you desire to live a long time and have many good days? If so, read on and adhere to the following advise. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; instead of looking for trouble, seek peace and chase after it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do good and He pays attention to their cry; the face of the Lord will be against you if you do evil. If you do good, the Lord will hear your cry and deliver you from ALL of your troubles. You may do good and still have many troubles, but God will deliver you from them all. The Lord redeems His servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him!! (Psalms 34:12-22) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Oh, what JOY!! We can rejoice in God through Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. We are no longer enemies but FRIENDS of God!! With Joy we can now go boldly to His Throne with all of our petitions and prayers, with Joy we know that God hears and answers our prayers, with Joy we now can have a Loving Relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with Joy we understand and obtain His Mercy, His Grace, and His Righteousness!! PEACE AND JOY...."for sin shall not be your master." because you are not under law, but under Grace!!! (Romans 6:14) JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY, DOWN IN MY HEART...... ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Is there any room in your life right now for God's Son?? Is He having His wonderful way with you or have you carefully pushed Him to the side?? If you are guilty of ignoring God, chances are your life is a total wreck at this very moment. Do you really want a better life? Do want the very best that life has to offer? Then make room for Jesus right now- time and room for quiet, Holy Fellowship and oneness with the Father. There is absolutely FREE Hope, Grace, and Righteousness in Him. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: The Bible tells us that our old sinful nature was crucified on the cross with Jesus, that the body of sin might be done away with, and that we should no longer be slaves to sin and death. (Romans 6:6) It is the greatest moment in your life when you make the decision that sin must die in you; not restrained, not suppressed or counteracted, but crucified and KILLED just like Jesus died for the sin of the world. You must allow God to search you until you know exactly what the nature and level of sin is in your life. What is sin anyway?? Sins are the things that struggle against the Spirit of God...the things that fight against God's will. Then you must "reckon yourself to be dead indeed to sin" (Romans 6:11). That's when you, like Paul, can say, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...." (Galations 2:20) I pray that Christ lives in you today. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: None of us every "enjoys" being chastized, corrected, or repremanded by God. It seems very grievous to us at the time that it comes, but afterward we realize that it brings the "peaceable fruit of righteousness" into our lives when He "excercises" us with His chastening. (Hebrews 12:11) If your world is falling apart and you think God is responsible for it, you must do four things ASAP: Humble yourself and confess your wrongdoings, Pray about it, seek the face of God (look to Him to restore a Loving Relationship), and Repent (turn away) from your sin. God will respond in three ways: He will hear your cries for help, He is Faithful to Forgive you, and He will Heal the circumstances He created due to your disobedience. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14) These principles will work for an individual, a church, or a nation. Please, please pray for the USA. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "LET US CONSIDER HOW WE MAY SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON TOWARD LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS." ~Hebrews 10:24. When God tells us to "consider" something that means that we better be thinking about it. How long has it been since you "considered" or thought of ways your could "spur" or drive yourself AND others on to a Loving Relationship and on into doing good deeds. Gentle nudges with spurs can urge folks to move in the right direction but beware of harsh hookin' folks with spurs; you might have a big fight on your hands or drive them away instead of heading them in the right direction. That's why you must always use your head before you use your spurs. Let's be gentle with one another out there. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Because of one man's sin (Adam), you were born a sinner and given the free gift of DEATH. Not a very good present, huh? On the other hand, through one man's obedience to God on the Cross, you are given the much better gift of GRACE and RIGHTEOUSNESS. Grace and Righteousness have great power, but the only way you activate them is by your Faith in Jesus Christ. You didn't earn them and you don't deserve them, but you can recieve them AND the Power that comes with them through Faith!! Energy (Power) without direction is chaos. Stay focused on the one who gave you Grace and Righteousness and the Power within them will take you where you want to go in this life and all the way to eternal life!! (Romans 5:17) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: The Lord is training each of us every day for HIS purpose. What is your vision of God's purpose for your life? Whatever it is, His purpose for you is to totally depend on Him and HIS power in every thing that you do, and when He calls you to do something, DO IT NOW!! God's training is for now, not later. In Mark 6:45, Jesus made His desciples get in the boat and go before Him. He didn't tell them to check on the the weather, check out the boat, or pick up supplies; He said DO IT!! When you obey God the very minute that He speaks, He will enable you to see Him walk on the storms of your life.....right now. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus was not just another good teacher, good story teller, or prophet. He was Jesus CHRIST....savior of mankind and the Son of God. Do you believe this?? If you do, the Word says that you are born of God, and everyone who Loves the Father Loves His child as well. (1 John 5:1) How do we prove that we Love the Father and the Son?? The Word says, "This is Love for God: to obey His commands." (1 John 5:3) We should have a much higher view of the word "obey". The world today does not pay much attention to "obedience", but you should....that is if you truly want to overcome this old sinful, fallen world. We do not obey God to become His child, we obey God because we ARE His child. Give Him your Love and Praise today!! ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you ever have feelings that you wished you didn't have?? .....or feelings that you know that you shouldn't have?? Do not hide from your feelings or pretend they are not there because that will only cause you to have more fear and anxiety. Bring ALL of you feelings, good or bad, into the Light of the Presence of Jesus. That way, you can deal with your feelings together with Him. Concentrate on your Faith and be always Trusting in Him. Wrong or bad feelings will eventually lose their foothold on your life. Use your shield of Faith freely to quench all those firey darts the enemy slings your way!! Feelings will always fall in line with your FAITH!! (Ephesians 6:16) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Dear friends, let us Love one another, for Love comes from God. Everyone who Loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not Love does not know God, because God IS Love. This is how God showed His Love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him." (1 John 4:7-9). "Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to Love one another" (1 John 4:11). If we are alive through Jesus Christ, we should also be Loving through Him as well. Stop looking at others with your eyes of the flesh and start looking at others with the Loving Spiritual eyes of He who is in you. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: How do you recognize the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of falsehood?? The spirit of falsehood is exactly that; it is a lie!! Any spirit or teaching that does not acknowledge Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is a lie and is the spirit of antichrist!! "You have heard (the spirit of antichrist) is coming and even now is already in the world." (1 John 4:3). But "....you ...are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." (1 John 4:4). You recognize the Spirit of Truth because you belong to God and you listen the the things of God instead of listening to the lies of the world. May the Good Lord be with you and protect you from all evil. (1 John 1-6)~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Wouldn't it be a great day today if you took the time to Love on someone. Make it a very special day and Love on someone who doesn't even Love YOU. You might even lead someone to the Lord doin' that and you will at least make someone else have a better day because everybody likes to be Loved on. The Apostle John wrote in 1 John 4:19 that that is the reason why we Love God, because He first Loved us. Maybe we should follow God's example. "And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth god Love his brother also." (1 John 4:21). ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not "feel" like you are alone today. If you are feeling alone, your emotions are lying to you because God is closer to you than you think. You are connected to the Lord by the bonds of His Love that nothing can ever sever or destroy. The Love connection between you and God is invisible, but that doesn't mean it isn't real. It is the ultimate in reality and your faith will open your Spiritual eyes so that you can see Him everywhere and in everything. When you become aware of His Presence, you will never feel safer or more Loved. "Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1). Faith will give you assurance that you are not alone today or any other day. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't put God on hold. The non-stop demands of the world are what you need to put on hold, and start spending some quality time with the Lord. You must remember that God should be your first Love and you must put him first in your life. If you push God into the background of your life it truly damages your relationship and fellowship with Him and all those around you. When you put God first "you have chosen the better thing, which will never be taken away from you." (Luke 10:42). God will then not only bless you, but He will also bless others through you. GIVE HIM PRAISE!!! ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Fill your mind today with the thoughts that God is very real and that He is ever so close to you. If you will truly fill your mind with these thoughts and believe them with all your heart, then when you experience difficult circumstances you will automatically remember what Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, "...how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" You will stop running from person to person to get help and go straight to God. The principle Jesus laid down is this: God is your Father, He Loves you, He will never forget anything you think or ask, so why should you worry?? "Ask, and it will be given to you....." Matthew 7:7. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: No matter what you do today, DO NOT fall into the slimy, bottomless pit of self-pity!! If you ever fall into self-pity, it seems you just go deeper and deeper until you find yourself in the profound darkness of depression. If you have already fallen in the pit, your only hope is to look up and see the light of Jesus Christ and His Presence. It may look dim from where you are, but just stay focused on Him. Slowly but surely, He will lift you out of the pit; He will cleanse you, wash you, and cover you with His Righteousness. Jesus will walk with you and help you to never fall into that pit again, but you must keep your focus on Him. (Psalm 40:2-3, Psalm 42:5, Psalm 147:11) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not worry about tomorrow. This is not a suggestion from me, but a command from our Lord. God made day and night so that we might have manageable portions of life that we can deal with. You will find that no matter what you are facing today, God's grace is sufficient to get you through it......one day at a time. Grace is not sufficient for tomorrow, so you are on your own if you worry about the future. When you do this you are heaping more stress on your life than God intended or designed you to bear. Isn't it time you enjoyed the Presence of the Lord by Trusting Him.....one day at a time. (Matthew 6:34, Corinthians 12:9) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Today is the day you need to start enjoying the riches of your salvation and realize that God LOVES you all the time with a Love that is perfect. It is not based on how good you look, how good you perform, or how fast you correct your mistakes. God is "the Lover of your soul", and He Loves you no matter what. Because of what Jesus has done for you on the cross, God sees you clothed in His righteousness and you will always be radiant in His perfect Love. You will have a much better day if you will stop trying to "fix" yourself and fix your eyes upon Jesus with your time spent praising Him!! (Psalm 34:5, Ephesians 2:7-8) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you Spiritually lazy?? We are all capable of being Spiriually lazy at times. That is why God's word says, "Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..." (Hebrews 10:24-25). The point of this scripture is that we should "consider" or be thinking of others well being; stirring one another up and keeping ourselves together. You can't stir up anyone or be stirred up by anyone if you "forsake the assembling". That's why you need to go to the church of your choice on a regular basis. This requires initiative on YOUR part. Are you ready to step out toward Christ-realization or are you satisfied with being a lazy, self-centered Christian? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you Spiritually active or are Worldly active? In this day and age we seem to be driven towards self-realization; understanding and knowing more about ourselves. The truth is we are not put here on this earth to take the initiative towards self-realization but should be taking the initiative to be Spiritually acitve to learn and know more about our savior, Jesus Christ . As Paul writes in Philippians 3:10, the object of the game is "....that I may know Him (Jesus)....". Do you know Him where you are today? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: God has a commandment for you today....and everyday: "To believe in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, AND to Love one another as He (Jesus) commanded us". If you obey His commands, that means that YOU live in HIM, and HE lives in YOU. This is what a Loving Relationship means with the Lord. How do you know that Jesus lives in YOU? You know it "by the Spirit that he gave you". Do not be decieved by any other reprobate Spirit. If it is not a Spirit of Love in your life, it did not come from the Lord Jesus. (1 John 3:23-24) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Why do we not always do the right thing? Why do we not help someone who needs help when we have the ability to do so? These things happen when our own heart "condems" us with greed or fear. We say things like, "I've worked hard for what I have and I ain't givin' it to some lazy so and so!" (greed) or "I just barely have enough for myself. I can't give anything to anybody else". (fear) Don't listen to your condemning hear "for God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything." (1John 3:20). When you don't let your evil heart condemn you, you will have confidence in God and recieve whatever you ask of Him. Why? Because you have obeyed His commands and done the things that please Him. Please read ALL of 1 John, chapter 3. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: You CAN control your thoughts by Trusting God in all of your thinking. Reject all negative and sinful thoughts the second they come into your mind. Confess those kind of thoughts to the Lord and leave them with Him; then you can forget about those bad thoughts and go on your merry way. Practice thinking about how much you put your Trust in Jesus, how Thankful you are for what He has done for you, and how much you Love Him because He Loved you first. When you practice this kind of thinking, it soon becomes more natural and consistant; controlling your thinking in this manner will keep you in His Presence and your mind at Peace. Thinking Spiritually gives you great Power over the natural and physical things of this world. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't you think it is about time to stop clinging to your old ways.....the ways that the world have taught you and have you in a rut? No, it's not a rut, it's a PIT!! And you will stay there as long as you try to control all the circumstances of your life by yourself. This world is never going to allow you to have a total secure or predictable lifestyle, but when you put you Trust in the Lord Jesus, a whole new glorious adventure is open to you. You must always be on the lookout for what God has prepared for you. God is always doing something new, and it is always much better than anything the world has to offer. If your eyes are on the world or yourself, you will miss out on the great things God has in store for you. Keep your eyes upon Jesus!! ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Praise, Worship, and Gratitude is what clears the way to the heart of God. When you clear the way between you and God, His blessings will fall upon you in amazing fashion, and the greatest blessing of all is being close to Him. He is the Lord Almighty; He is wonderful; He is the Bread of Life and the Light of the World; He is Living Water and He is full of Mercy and Grace!! He is always Faithful to Love you and defend you, even when you are wrong. When others turn their backs on you and forsake you, He will be there to lift you up with His strong right hand. Does He not deserve your Praise, Worship, Gratitude, and Love continually throughtout this day?? May abundant Joy and Peace be with you in His Presence every day. (Psalm 100:4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: It is truly a beautiful day today; one that the Lord hath made!! Today is a day of FREEDOM!! We should all be so very Thankful for the Freedom that we have in this country. The greatest political Freedom we have is to Worship God Almighty at the church of our choice. Most of the time, Americans associate Freedom with Independance, and that is true in regard to being under the control of a foreign nation; but real Freedom comes from "dependance" on God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Word of God tell us that when Jesus sets us Free that we are "Free indeed". I hope all of you will exercise your Freedom today and tell someone about the real Freedom in Jesus Christ. Dependance on Him Gives us Freedom from the Law of Sin and Death. GIVE HIM PRAISE!! ~ Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: You MUST spend time alone with the Lord if you want to unscramble your thoughts and smooth out your day. Never let anything or anyone come between you and the Lord. You must be willing to fight for this time with Jesus, because there are so many things that are fighting to keep you from Him and they come in many forms: your selfish desire to follow your own agenda; Satan's determination to distract you; pressure from friends, family, and your employer to spend more time with them and be more "productive". Don't ever forget that the most productive time of your life is when you spend it with the Lord. When you get to the point in your life that you want to please Jesus more than anything else in the world, then strength, delight, peace, and productivity will multiply one hundred fold. (Psalm 48:9, Psalm 37:4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Be of good cheer today!! Jesus Christ appeared on this earth for one reason, and that was to destroy the work of the devil in us. Satan attacked us with Sin and Death, but God counter attacked the Devil by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a "sin offering" for us!! Who do you think won that battle?? Thank God, Jesus did!!! Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those of us who are in Christ Jesus. Because of Him, we have been set FREE from the law of sin and death for now we live under the law of the Spirit of Life!! Are you still living under the law of sin and death? If you are, that's a very poor choice. God recommends that you choose LIFE, but it's your choice.....make it count because it truly is eternal Life or Death at stake for you. (1 John 3:8, Romans 8:1-4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There is no way you can dread a day that is vibrant with the Presence of God. When you stay focused on God, you don't ask questions like, "Can I handle all the problems this day is going to bring??" You KNOW that you can face, overcome, and conquer ANYTHING the day may bring when the Lord has a hold of you with His strong right hand. There is no stress or fear when you face your circumstances with the confidence that God will never leave you or forsake you. His Faithfulness allows you to live this beautiful day He has given you with Joyfulness and Peace. (Psalm 5:3, Psalm 63:1, Philippians 4:13) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Some days when hard times fall on us, our human instinct is to doubt the goodness of God. But God's Word tells us to "Taste and see that I am Good". This is an invitation for us to experience His living Presence and with the Promise that the more we experience His Presence, the more we will be convinced of His Goodness. We don't always understand how God is working in our life b...ecause His ways are higher than our ways. This means it is pointless to try to understand all that God is doing. Instead, let's put our Trust in the Father who really does know what's best for us. We can always spend time enjoying and experiencing the goodness of God, no matter what our circumstances may be. (Psalm 34:8, Isiah 55:8-9) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: I don't know about you but I need to rest in the Lord. Many of us have traveld some pretty steep and rugged paths in our life, and sometimes it seems it will never let up. We never know what lies ahead of us either, and that uncertainty alone sometimes causes us much stress and anxiety. Maybe we need not to look back at all the rough roads behind us nor the unknown ahead of us, and keep our attention focused on our constant compainion, the Lord Jesus. If we will just put our Trust in Him, He will equip us for whatever awaits. There is no darkness or unthruth in our Lord, and He has promised to be with us always, watching over us wherever we go. (Psalm 143:8) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do not let the overstimulation of "the World" block out your awareness of the Spiritual, unseen World. Give yourself a buffer zone of stillness and quietness so you can stay focused "on things that are unseen". This World still reflects the Glory of God to those who have eyes that see, and ears that hear. If you want to develop Spiritual seeing eyes and hearing ears, you must focus on the Lord and spend some quality quite time with Him. Even though we live out this life in the visible world, this is not our permament home. We must never lose "sight" and always be aware of the "unseen things of God". (2 Corinthians 4:18, Isiah 6:3, Psalm 130:5) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: This is a good day to start letting the Lord get you ready for the day that awaits you and point you down the right path. His guidance is unique for each of His children, so don't listen too much to other people or try to copy someone else's life. Listening to the Holy Spirit is what you must do, and it is vital to your Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical well being. He is with you at ALL times, so you don't have to be intimidated by fear. Fear will always try to stalk you, but it cannot harm you, as long as you hold on to the hand of Jesus. Keep you eyes on the Lord and enjoy the Peace there is in His Presence. (Joshua 1:5, Jude 24-25, Ephesians 3:20-21) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Go look at yourself in the mirrow. What do you see?? Are you straight faced with a tight look of stress or even worse, is your face twisted into a scowling frown? It's time to laugh at yourself freely! Don't take yourself OR your circumstances too seriously. Focus on Jesus and desire His will above everything else; you will find life can be joyful and with much less stress tha...n you ever thought possible. Laughter will lighten your load and lift your heart out of the pit of depression and fear. Don't miss the Joy of the Presence of Jesus in your life by trying to carry the weight of the World on your own shoulders. If you can't control the situation, the job belongs to Jesus and you have no business trying to do HIS job or worrying about it! (Matthew 11:28, Proverbs 17:22, 31:25) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: My path is different than your path, and your path is different from my path. Don't let anyone convince you that their path is the only right way. On the other hand, don't you try to convince others that your path is superior to theirs. The Lord Jesus has called each of us to travel a path that He has designed just for us. No matter what path Jesus is leading you down, He requires the same thing from all of us; "to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Him" (Micah 6:8). This means we must stay focused on the Lord as we walk with Justice, Mercy, and humility whatever our path may be. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Stay on the high road today and don't let all the confusion in this old world divert you to take another path. Stay focused on Jesus for He has called you to walk closely with Him. By walking in His Spirit you are able to soak up His Presence, and if you live in His Presence, you will also be able to live in His Peace. The Peace that Jesus gives is above all of our capabilities of understanding, but it is so real and there is nothing sweeter in life than living in that Peace. Please don't let the Devil drag you down in the pits of stress and depression when Jesus has designed you to live in His Peace since before the beginning of time. (Ephesians 2:10) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Feel good about yourself?
1 John 2:1, "....these things write I unto you, that ye sin not." Preachers preach unto you for the same reason that John wrote unto you- that you would not sin. I have heard folks use the excuse that they don't go to church anymore because they got tired of coming home not feeling good about them selves. Preachers are not supposed to preach to make you feel good about yourself.....and they are not supposed to preach to make you feel bad about yourself either. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is "Good News". If we hear it preached and we don't feel good about ourselves, whose fault is that?? The Gospel of Christ will NEVER change.....maybe it is us who need to make some changes! Hmmmmm? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Worry and Fear will never give up trying to gain a foothold in your life. That's why you must always stay alert by keeping Jesus the center of your life. You CAN beat back Worry and Fear by Trusting Jesus and being Thankful at all times. This is the only way to conquer the sin of Worry and Fear. You can never realize how much God Loves you until you stay focused on Him. Only then can he bless you with His wonderful Peace that is beyond your understanding. Love Him, Trust him and be Thankful ALL the time; there has never been a better defensive line than this!! (2 Thessalonians 3:16, 1 John 4:18) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "....continue in Him (Jesus), so that when He appers, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28). To "continue in Jesus, you must stay focused on HIM. Think (meditate) on Him and His ways, learn from Him by reading His Word, comunicate with Him in your prayers (about all things), Love on Him with your Worship, and Take pride in Him by telling others bout Him. If you do these things (focus and continue), how in the world could you possibly get into trouble by falling into sin. This is how to walk in the light. Remember that when you walk with Jesus, there is no darkness in Him!! This means there will be no darkness in you. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: It does not matter how worry-prone you are, you CAN conquer and overcome worry. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled; Neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27). If you really Trust these precious words of Jesus, you do not have to accept anything that causes you to stumble, fall, fail, or WORRY!! He can replace ALL worry and fear with Patience and Peace. "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth" (Psalm 37:9). When the smoke clears, Jesus will still be standing with you no matter what. Cling to Him and His Word and He will Faithfully deliver you from worry. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: What are you obsessed about? Most of us are obsessed with ourselves. We should be obsessed with God because in Him we "live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28). If we really become obsessed with the Lord, nothing else can inter into our lives; not concerns, not problems, not worries. Do you understand why worry is a sin? Worry is a sin because it is a slap in the face to God. How can we be so unbelieving when God is always with us? To be obsessed with God is the most effective tool to block all the nasty attacks of Satan. Nothing can break through the shelter of God Almighty if our "life is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3). ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Which days of the week can you expect to have some sort of problem or difficulty in your life? Just about all of them! But listen to what your God has to say about that in His Word, Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." If you will always remember this scripture and beleive it with all of your heart, your Peace and Joy can never be touched by any circumstance. Offer your right hand to the Lord in Faith, and He will lift you up. Fear not and have a blessed day, even if it's a tough one~Walker

JUST FOR TODAY: You may be having a good day, or maybe you're haveing a bad day. Neither one can separate you from the Lord. He is with you and watching over you always. He is Emmanuel, meaning "God with us". Being Thankful opens the door to his presence. If you're having a bad day, be thankful that He will help you to get through it. If you're having a good day, be thankful for the blessings. When you look with FAITH and THANKSGIVING, you will always find Jesus in the midst of every situation of your life. He will lift you up and guide you in the way you should go. He friend, counselor, Savior, and the Lover of your soul. (Matthew 1:23) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus is not looking for fans, He is looking for followers; Those that will be obedient when He speaks to them through His Word, prayer, circumstances, or the church. I don't know about you, but when I told my kids to do something, I didn't mean sometime next week or whenever they got ready. Too many of us are like the man in Matthew 9:61; He said,Yes!! "I will follow you Lord,... BUT first......". The real question here is do you really want Jesus or do you just want what He can give or do for you?? The next time Jesus speaks to your heart, just say "Yes" and make no "buts" about it. If you don't, He will reply, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God." (Matthew 9:62) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: First thing I remember listening to music on besides the radio was 45 or 33 1/3 rpm records, then it was 8-track tapes, then it was cassette tapes, then it was CD's, then DAT tapes, then MP3's, then IPOD's, then....I don't know? What's next? We live in a world with unrelenting changes in just about every area of our lives. It is no wonder that we yearn for some kind of stability in our life. Are we doomed to a life of constant uncertainty? Not if we have a loving Relationship with the Lord Jesus. He is the one who never changes. He doesn't ever fall in and out of Love with you because He IS Love!! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and last, the beginning and the end. Knowing Jesus does not eliminate the uncertainty of this world, it just allows you to face it in perfect Peace for in Him we have Love and stability. Thank God!! (Revelations 22:13 and John 16:33) ~Walker JUST FOR TODAY: Don't make choices today based on what you think is a good choice. Good choices that you make are always the enemy of the best choices that God would make if you had Trusted Him instead of leaning on your own understanding. We ALL need Spiritual growth in our lives, and it will only come when we stay focused on God, listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and allow God to make life's choices for us. When you come to realize that your Spiritual Life controls your physical life, and you start living a life of FAITH in God, you will be amazed at how good life can be!! God will say the same thing to you that He did to Abram, "....WALK BEFORE ME..." (Genesis 17:1). How can you fail if God Almighty has your back?? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: It is not a sin to be angry but do not let your anger cause you to sin. Don't let the Devil get his foot in the door, and that will happen if you let the sun go down on your wrath. You know what wrath is?? Wrath is anger on steriods and then set in motion. Get over it before the sun goes down or somebody might get hurt, including yourself. If you have stolen, steal no more. Work with honest labour so you can have what you need and still be able to give to those who are in need. Don't let foul or corrupt word come from your mouth. When you open your mouth, let it be words for good edification and give grace to those who hear it. (Ephesians 4:26-29) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Do not neglect the gift that is in you......" God blesses each and every believer with Spiritual Gifts, and there is no doubt that these gifts were given to minister and encourage the whole Body of Christ. If you neglect what God has invested in you, you are robbing the congregation of His ministry that was intended to be given by YOU. It is wrong to say, "Oh, I don't have any talent or special gifts". That would be calling God a liar!! You may not have discovered what your gifts are, but they are surely there. You will find out what they are when you are willing to use them instead of using not knowing what they are as an excuse to do nothing. (1 Timothy 4:14-15) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Ask the Lord to help you face each new day, and be committed to all that He has planned for you. Don't look for an easy way, or the easy path to take. Stay focused on the Lord Jesus and the road He has put you on. Learn to be "a second-miler". As a Christian, we must always remember that everything we posses is a gift from God. So, thank Him for His wonderful provision and be ready to give freely as He leads you this day. (Matthew 5:40-42) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Make sure that you speak "right things" today. Right things are the words you speak that reflect honor, dignity, and grace; and most of all, when you share the life-giving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Wonderful things will begin to happen. Old Satan begins to lose his grip on your loved ones, friends, and family, and God Himself will rejoice in His inner-most being!! God rejoices because He knows that what is in the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak. Remember that the "right things" coming from your lips will reveal the right character of your life to God and all those around you. What are the words that you're speaking revealing about you today?? (Proverbs 23:15-16) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: This day is a gift to you from God. It is just one of many blessings He has given you today. God is a giver and his examples of giving should inspire you to also be a giver. Do you have a heart of gratitude and a hand of generousity? Seeds in a basket will never produce a harvest. If you don't sow much, guess what?? You won't reap much either. Those who sow bountifully are the ones who will harvest much. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide on giving, and give what He puts on your heart. And remember, don't give grudgingly or because you think you have to out of necessity. We serve a God who is a cheerful giver and he expects you to be one, too!! (2 Corinthians 9:6-7) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: The Bible tells us that Satan is like a roaring lion, roaming the earth looking for somebody to destroy and devour. Could that someone be you?? Do not fear this day or anything that it brings your way. It is very easy to turn the tables on Satan and mess up all of his evil plans. All you have to do is Trust God-not just a little, but TOTALLY. When you totally Trust God with your whole being, then nothing can separate you from His Peace. He WILL take all the evil that Satan is trying to harm you with and turn it into something good!! So, FEAR NO EVIL and Trust God to bring good out of every situation you will ever incounter. (Genesis 50:20, Psalm 23:4) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: The World in it's sinful flesh has taught us the way to riches is to get all we can and can all we get. In other words, gather up riches and hoard them for yourself. That is not God's way of doing things. You will attain the riches of God by letting go and GIVING!!! And don't give stingily or your wore out or broke things that you no longer treasure. Give something that you tr...easure right now, and if you REALLY want a good blessing, give it to someone you know would really like to have it or needs it....that you don't like very much. OUCH!!! That hurts don't it? The more you give of yourself to God and His ways, the more He will fill you with "inexpressible, heavenly Joy". (1 Peter 1:8) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in the splendor of His Holiness." ~Psalm 29:2 Today is alive with His glorious Presence if your heart is connected to the heart of Jesus. Give more of your life to Him and you will find that you do not have time to worry!! When you are FREE from worry, you are FREE to let the Holy Spirit guide your steps. All steps in that direction lead down the path of Peace. (Luke 1:79)
JUST FOR TODAY: "DO YOU SEEK GREAT THINGS FOR YOURSELF?" ~Jeremiah 45:5. Are you seeking great things for yourself or are you seeking to be a great person? Which do think is the most important to the Lord? God wants you to be more interested in your Relationship with Him than in receiving His gifts. All material things of this world will come and go, but the Spiritual things of God will last for eternity. The greatest thing you can seek is God Himself. Jesus said to "Seek the Kingdom of God, and ALL these other things will be added unto you." There is nothing more simple or easy than getting into a right relationship with God-"Seek and ye shall find" ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Build your Faith today on the light that never fades away. That light is Jesus Christ and he will never leave you or fail you. If you put your Faith in anything else you are in for disappointment. People that used to be a light for you will flicker and fade away. Some who have stood by you in the begining will eventually turn away. Do not be discouraged when this happens. This is God's way of telling you to move on to bigger and better assignments. Keep your focus where it really belongs; ON HIM!! (2 Corinthians 3:18) ~Walker
JUST FOR TO DAY: If you could work or be "good enough" to have righteousness, then YOU would recieve the Glory, not God, and His Grace would have nothing to do with it (Romans 4:2). But that will never happen because the debt that sin has caused in your life causes you to owe much more than you can every repay with works. That's why you need Jesus. Having Faith in Jesus is what Justifies the ungodly and your Faith is what counts as righteousness or "good standing" with God. We are so blessed when our wrong doings are forgiven and our sins are covered by the Grace of God. Thank you Jesus!! (Romans 4:1-7) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: It takes a lot of POWER to recieve the unmerited favor(Grace)of God. Fortunately, our Lord Jesus is "the Son of God with POWER" (Romans 1:4). That POWER is declared by the very Holy Spirit of God within him that raised him from the dead. That in itself took a lot of Power also! So how is this Power and Grace transfered to us? "...we have recieved Grace...., for OBEDIENCE to the FAITH...for His name..(Romans 1:5). Faith is the key to all POWER, and Jesus Christ is calling you today to be obedient and turn it on!! (Romans 1:1-6) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: It's so easy to Trust God when things are going your way. Trust flows like a mighty river when God is moving on your behalf the way YOU think He should. Oh, but when things go wrong, the flow of Trust slows down and the grumbling and complaining begins. If this continues, the flow of Trust locks up and becomes as hard as granite. It comes down to you making a choice and there are only two: You can choose to rebel and resent God's ways with you (bad choice) or you can choose the way of life and enjoy the Presence of the Lord, no matter what your circumstances become (best choice). Choose life my friends-stop complaining and count your blessings no matter what you are going through. The Good Lord will never leave you or forsake you. (Psalm 31:14) Blessings, ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: People many times don't understand God, don't see God working in their life to their expectations, and therefor believe God has failed.....but He hasn't. God, on the other hand, completely understands people, He is constantly working in all of our lives, and He NEVER fails. If you don't understand God, maybe you should pray about that and read the manual, the Holy Bible. If you don't see God working in your life, maybe you should pray about that and ask Him to open your Spiritual eyes. If you think God has failed you in some way, maybe you should pray about that and ask Him for the Revelation that when your will doesn't line up with His will, that doesn't make HIM a failure. Cast your burdens on the Lord in prayer and seek His Peace Today. (Psalm 55:22) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you "Reckon" that you are really "dead indeed to sin," (Romans 6:11). If so, then you must find the life of Jesus in you ALL the time. "The Holy Spirit cannot be accepted as a guest in merely one room of the house-He invades ALL of it." ~Oswald Chambers. Once you decide your "old man" of sin must be crucified with Jesus, the Holy Spirit takes charge of EVERYTHING. Now you have a new goal in life; and your job is to walk in the light of Jesus and obey all that His Spirit reveals to you. The proof of a true relationship with Jesus is when you start showing a definite likeness to Him. Who do you look like today? ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: There is a complete and effective decision about sin that you need to make if you have never done so. Sin in your life must die!! "IT CANNOT BE JUST RESTRAINED, SUPPRESSED, OR COUNTERACTED, BUT CRUCIFIED." (Oswald Chambers); "....our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin." (Romans 6:6) This is a very radical and difinite decision in your life that no one can make for you. You're gonna have to walk that "Lonesome Valley" on this one and come to the point where you can say "I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...." (Galatians 2:20) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: If you have put your Faith in the Lord Jesus, you have found the ONLY real security in life. Why? Because you are now his for all time, and there is nothing that can ever separate you from His Love. So why do you worry and get anxious and turn to problem solving mode? It is because your mind has slipped out of gear and you are focusing on your circumstances instead of on your Lord. You must control your thinking and get your mind back in gear. Focus on Him and never forget that He will take very good care of you. You can be assured of this because Jesus is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, the Name above all names, and being all of that, He still Loved you so much that he gave His life for you. If you haven't already put your faith in the Lord Jesus, please do so TODAY. (Romans 8:38-39) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Bring God the Sacrifice of Thanksgiving. Don't take anything for granted today, not even the air that you breath. If you focus on what you DON'T have or circumstances you don't like, your mind will become darkended. A dark mind causes you to look for what is wrong and then refuse to enjoy life until that wrong is "fixed". If your world has to be perfect before your life has any Joy in it, you will always be unhappy. There will always be problems in this life but that doesn't mean you have to take for granted your life, your salvation, your friends and family, the sunshine and the flowers and all the other wonderful gifts that God has given to you. Walk in the light of Jesus, be Thankful, and look on the bright side!! (Psalm 116:17 & 1 John 1:7) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: If you are a born again believer, Jesus has planted a garden of Peace in your soul. But don't let the weeds take this garden over. The weeds I'm talking about are pride, worry, selfishness, etc.... As with all things, you can do nothing without Jesus, so don't try to weedeat the Garden by yourself. Jesus is the Gardener so make sure you spend quite time alone with him so he can shine His light on your Peace Garden. His light makes the Peace grow abundantly and the weeds to shrivel up!! Trusting in Jesus in times of trials also causes Peace to flourish and the weeds to die. It may sound crazy to thank God for troublesome situations, but the Peace they can produce far outweighs the trials you endure. (2 Corinthians 4:17) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Everybody would like to have a successful day, right? The problem with todays overly busy society is we have forgotten what success really is or means. It's time to wake up and get God's Revelation as to what success really is. A successful day is one in which you have stayed in touch with Jesus, even if other things in your life are left undone at the end of the day. Do NOT make an idol out of YOUR to-do-list. Worshiping your agenda instead of the Lord will not generate a successful life. Your ultimate goal is not to control or fix everything but to stay in touch with Jesus, above all else!! May the Good Lord richly bless you with His Spirit and a successful day. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:6) Jesus is calling!! He is calling you to have constant communication with Him. The basic element in accomplishing this is to learn to live ABOVE your circumstances while remaining close to Jesus even in this cluttered up and troubled world. We all wish for a simpler life where communication with the Lord would never be interupted but unfortunately that is not going to happen in the world we live in today. We must learn to accept each day just as it comes, and find Jesus in the midst of it all. If you are one of the blessed ones who have discovered how to do this, please pray for those who haven't. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Thank Jesus for the gift of His Peace. The Peace that Jesus gives is a God sized gift beyond our comprehension of it's magnitude. When Jesus first appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, the first thing he talked about with them was PEACE. Then and now, Jesus knows that is our deepest need....PEACE, wonderful Peace. Peace is given to calm our fears and clear our minds... from all the anxiety of this troubled world. Listen to Jesus; tune out ALL other voices so you can hear him clearly. He has designed you to live in His Peace all day long....every day. Draw near to Jesus and He will draw near to you...Draw near to Jesus and recieve HIS Peace....Today. (John 20:19 & Colossians 3:15) Dedicated to the Families of Junior Myers and Kenny Hurst~ Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: On the way to school today, I asked my Grandaughter what she wanted to pray about this morning. She replied that she wanted to pray that she would have a good day. I told her that was a good thing to pray for, but I asked her, "isn't that a little self-centered??" She looked at me with a sheepish grin and replied, "Let's pray for EVERYBODY to have a good day!!" A good prayer then turned into a great Prayer. So don't be surprised if you have a really good day today; Leslie and I have prayed it on you. May the Lord richly bless you today in all that you do. ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Remember that God, the Giver, is infinitely greater than any blessing that He may bestow on you today. God delights in blessing you, but He gets very upsent when His blessings turn into idols in your heart. Even blessings from God can become idols if you let them distract you from your " First Love". Making God your ultimate desire is the only thing that protects you from idolotry. Stay in His Presence and you can enjoy the greatest gift of all...."CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY". Lord we thank you for your many blessing, but most of all we want to see YOU!!! ~Walker (Revelations 2:4 & Colossians 1:27)
JUST FOR TODAY: NOTHING!! That's right, NOTHING is as important as spending time with Jesus TODAY!!.....and everyday. Waiting on the Lord and spending quite time in HIS Presence is when He does His best work IN YOU. These are the times when He Transforms you and renews your mind. You must come to understand how important it is for you to have the mind of Christ!! If you skimp on the time you spend with Jesus, you will think wrong thoughts, you will hang out with the wrong people, and you will engage in wrong activities. Worst of all, you might even miss out on the richness of life that God has planned for you. When the pages in your Bible become ragged and also the knees of your jeans, you will not only see a change in your World, but in the World of others as well. (Romans 12:2) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: Direct your attention on the Lord in hopeful anticipation of what he is going to do in your life today. Trust Him with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure out the problems of life by yourself. Waiting on God is the way He designed us to live; All day and every day. He created us to stay conscious of Him as we go about our daily lives. Here is a partial list of the many blessing for those who wait on the Lord. 1. Gives Renewed Strength 2. Allows Living ABOVE your circumstances 3. Causes a Resurgence of Hope. 4. Makes you aware of God's Presence 5. It Glorifies God 6. Lets you live in dependence on God 7. keeps you ready to do God's will. And most of all it helps you to enjoy God because "in His presence is the fulness of Joy". (Lamentations 3:24-26, Isahia 40:31, and Psalm 16:11)
JUST FOR TODAY: Keep your mind set on being Thankful. Thankfulness keeps you in touch with the Lord. On the flip side, God hates it when His children Grumble and Complain. You cannot expect good things in your life if you casually despise God's sovereignty over ALL of your circumstances. Thankfulness will protect you from this deadly sin. Being Thankful allows you to see the light of God's presence in ALL of your circumstances. Let you heart grow in Thankfulness beause it will Glorify God and fill your life with JOY!! (1 Corinthians 10:10 & Hebrews 12:28-29) ~Walker
(1 Corinthians 10:10 & Hebrews 12:28-29) ~Walker
JUST FOR TODAY: TRUST is the pipeline through which God's PEACE flows directly to you!! THANKFULNESS is like a huge hydrolic jack pumping and lifting you above your circumstances. Instead of planning, scheming, evaluating, and worrying, why don't you try Trusting and Thanking the Lord continuously for a change? Jesus is ALWAYS right by your side, so as you walk with Him today, practice TRUSTING and THANKING Him all along the way. This simple shift in the way that you think will completely revolutionize your life. I am praying that God will give you a Peaceful and Uplifting day, ~Pastor Lynn (Philippians 4:4, Psalm 95:1-2, Psalm 9:10)
JUST FOR TODAY: Trust God and do not be afraid, for He is your strength and your song. Just stop and think about what it means to have God as YOUR strength. HE spoke the universe into existence, and HIS power is absolutely unlimited!!! When you Trust God, your weakness draws His Power to you like a magnet, but Fear can block the flow of His strength to you. Don't fight with your fear: just focus on your Trust in Him. When you come to Jesus with confident Trust, there is NO limit to how much He can strengthen you. "JESUS, JESUS, JESUS....KEEPS ME SINGING AS I GO...." (Isiah 12:2-3, Psalm 21:6). Have a Powerful Day, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus will show you the the way of Life; Satan will show you the way of death. In the presence of Jesus is the fullness of Joy; in the presence of Satan is the fulness of depression. At the right hand of Jesus are pleasures for evermore; at the right hand of Satan are burdens and punishment for evermore. Birds of a feather flock together; Whose flock are you standing in today?? (Psalm 16:11) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do NOT block your perception of God's blessing with negative thoughts. The good Lord WILL shower you with blessings this very day, but if all you have on your mind is negative thoughts, you will miss out on understanding and enjoying His blessings. The only way to clear the blockage of negative thinking is to be THANKFUL!! Do just like the old song says, "Count your blessings.......name them one by one...". Thankfulness will cause self-pity and depression to fly out of your life like a scalded vulture!!! Vultures prey on dead souls; they can't consume a soul that is brought to life through Thankfulness and Praise. So....BE THANKFUL AND GIVE HIM PRAISE FOR HIS GLORIOUS HOLY SPIRIT!!! Let the Living Waters Flow!!! (2 Corinthians 5:5, 2 Corinthians 3:17, and Psalm 50:14) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The light of Jesus is shining upon you today. As this light shines on you, open your heart and let it shine within you. Never allow the light to dim because of worry or fear. When the light of Jesus dwells in you, you are fully equiped to live in Holiness. Do not speak or act today too quickly; always allow a little time for the His Spirit to guide and control your actions. It is the Lord's desire to inhabit ALL of your moments today, and He will fill your thoughts, words, and behavior with His amazing Grace (1 Corinthians 6:19). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Ain't it great just to be alive today!! Ain't it great to be able to move around, go from place to place and take in all the wonderful things and places that the Lord has provided for us!!! Ain't it GREAT to be who you are, knowing that there is NO one else anywhere in the world before, now, or in the future that is just like you!!! "In Him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28) Have a GREAT day!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "For we all must appear before the judgement seat of Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:10) How do you feel when you read this scripture? Are you looking forward to the day that you stand before Christ or does the thought of Standing before Him make you somewhat uneasy or even scare the daylights out of you? If you will right here and now repent and learn to live under His pure light, your final judgement will bring only delight in seeing what God has done in your life. It is good to remind yourself of the judgement seat of Christ and then live your life according to the holiness He gives you when you are "born again". It is His holiness in you, not your own, that will make this a Joyful occasion. Walk in the Light and Spirit of His Love and fear not. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Your life is what it is because of what dominates and controls you, and you are responsible for having yielded yourself to whatever that may be. If you are a slave to yourself, you are to blame because at some point in time you yielded to yourself. Same is true with God, at some point in time you yielded yourself to Him. If your life is a mess, could be you made a wrong choice about who you decided to let run it. Yielding to jesus will break every kind of bond and slavery in a person's life. "You are one's slave whom you obey" (Romans 6:16) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "God so Loved the World that he GAVE..." (John 3:16). If you want to know what surrender means, read John 3:16 and understand it's about Giving; not just a little, but everything. John 3:16 is about God's total surrender to us. Don't even talk about surrender if you don't understand John 3:16. When you do, then surrender yourself to God in the same way He gave himself for YOU.............totally, unconditionally , and without reservation. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: TWH...don't leave home without it. No, this is not a new diatary supplement or the name of a new airline. TWH stands for the three elements that make up a strong chain that will keep you connected to Jesus. T stands for TRUST, and it is the strongest link in the chain because that is what God desires most from His children; to Trust Him. The W and the H stand for WAITING AND HOPING; they both are links that help to strengthen the chain; Waiting for the Lord to work in your life while you Hope with your eyes on Him is evidence that you really do Trust Him. Trusting, Waiting, and Hoping will bring you into the Presence of Jesus. Sometimes the little things are the most important, so pay attention today and don't miss out on anything He brings into your life (John 14:1 Psalm 27:14 Hebrews 6:18-20). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: You will never accomplish God's purposes using YOUR strength. You will also never know the thrill of seeing God work through you if you choose the "safe" life working under your own Power. These are the reasons that God instructs us to "WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT". As you take steps of Faith, depending on the Lord, He will show you how much He can do for you and through you. W...e must always remember that the issue is not our strength, but HIS!!! You CAN live beyond your own natural ability and strength when you Walk in Faith. How can this be?? Because the Lord Jesus will empower you with His Holy Spirit to accomplish HIS Purposes in and through you (2 Corinthians 5:7). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: This is the day that the Lord has made!! And He has prepared it with tender concern for all of your needs. So, don't look at today like it's a blank page that you have to fill up. Instead, be in a responsive position to what God is doing in your life and walk with HIM!! This will require TRUST on your part brought about by knowing that His way is perfect and even if you falter on today's journey, He will never, NEVER let go of your hand!! Please realize today how utterly secure you are when your life is in the hands of Jesus (Psalm 18:30 & 37:23-24). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: To become a Christian is real easy. All you have to do is be willing to surrender your whole way of looking at things. Being "Born Again" is to be made ALL new. You can't hold on to something NEW if don't don't turn loose of the OLD. If you are facing the crisis of whether you want to do this or not, I encourage you to make the right decision. Step on in to an eternal relationship with Jesus and be DETERMINED to SURRENDER all that you have and all that you are to HIM. God will then begin to equip you to do all that He requires of you. ~Pastor Lynn (Galations 2:20)
JUST FOR TODAY: As everyday, you have some choices to make today. Are you stubbornly going to plod through the day under your own power, or are you going to follow the Lord Jesus with humble steps of dependance?? Your decision making process becomes more critical depending on just how difficult the day becomes. In other words, God's strength and power in your life is directly proportional to your weakness and difficulties plus just how much you rely (TRUST) on Him. So, "consider it all JOY whenever you are enveloped in various trials" (James 1:2-3). These "gifts" are from God to remind you to rely on HIM and Him alone!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There is one who goes ahead of you, opening up the way and yet, He is also alongside of you at the same time. He is ahead of you, urging you to follow him and at the same time is holding your hand and will NEVER let go. How can this be? Because He is not limited by time or space and all things are possible with Him. He is everywhere at the same time and He never stops working on your behalf. This is why it is best that you get to Know Him, Trust Him, and Live your life as close to Him as you can get. His name is JESUS!! (Hebrews 7:25) (Psalms 37:3-4) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you angry at God for the problems and troubles in your life today? Maybe you don't know or have forgotten the scripture about "....all things work together for good to them that Love God..." (Romans 8:28) If you choose to Love and Trust God, He will take every problem in your life and teach you something. Only God can take your troubles and use them to transform you little by little into the person He created you to be. If you choose not to Love God and you react with distrust and defiance, that same problem will become something to trip you up and cause you to fall. In this life there will always be problems and trouble so you will contantly have to choose whether to Trust God or Defy Him. Is there any doubt about which is the best choice??? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." What does this scripture mean?? It means if you are a child of God and call yourself a Christian, then sacrifice some of your precious time; HUMBLE yourself before God, and PRAY, and SEEK His Face, and REPENT (This is more than saying "I'm sorry". This means to "turn away" and STOP doing those things that you know are wrong). THEN, God is Faithful to LISTEN to you all the way from His throne in Heaven, and He will FORGIVE all of your sins, and He will HEAL your land and everything in it!!! It is not hard to "get it" as far as the Revelation from this scripture. God has said what He means and He means what He says. We better get after this one!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Have you ever done anything wrong and you KNEW it was wrong when you did it?? You listened to the wrong voice, didn't you?? There are many voices that try to control your mind when you sit in silence. You must discern which of those voices is the voice of God and obey only that voice. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you that descernment. If you listen to all the voices trying to influence you, your life will be one of confusion and defeat. Confusion and the illusion of defeat are two of Satan's greatest tools, so do not fall into that trap. Walk close with the Lord and listen to his instructions every moment so you can have Clarity and Victory in your life. Who do you belong to anyway; Satan or God?? Jesus said, "My sheep know my voice and follow me wherever I lead" (John 10:4) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: All true and lasting LIFE comes from Jesus Christ. So many times we chase after life in all the wrong places; pleasures, possessions, wealth, even trying to stay young and deny the inevitable effects of growing older. All the the while, Jesus is freely offering abundant life to all who will turn to him. He said, "come unto me and take my yoke upon you..." (Matthew 11:28) He wil...l then fill you with His own Life. Living in you is the way the Lord chooses to live in this world and accomplish His purposes. It is also the way that he blesses your life with "Joy unspeakable and full of Glory" (1 Peter 1:8-9). The Joy is His, and the Glory is His, too. But He is more than willing to give them to you if you will only live in His Presence. If you have not already done so, please invite Jesus to Live fully in you....TODAY!! I Love all of you and Hope you have a wonderful day, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Have you had any thoughts or circumstances that have caused you stress today? I'd bet there are a lot of "yes" answers to that question!! If so, bring those things to the Lord and talk with him about it. Give him your prayers and petitions with Thanksgiving. I can just hear you now, " Well, that's just plain dumb to be "Thankful" for things that stress me out!!" God does not expect you to be Thankful for your problems; what He expects you to be thankful for is that you can bring them to Him with complete Trust and He will help you to get through and overcome anything this world throws at you. You will come to find that the amount of Peace in your life is directly proportional to the amount of Trust that you put in Jesus!! I believe I would rather have the Peace than the Stress. How about you? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: IF, and the key word here is IF, you are listening to Jesus, you are on the right path. Listen more to Him, and less to your doubts and fears. Jesus has a path designed just for you, so don't expect others to understand what you are doing or where you are headed. You don't need their approval either. Jesus is the only one who must approve of your life!! Let no man come between you and the Lord. Seek the face of the Lord and Listen to HIS voice. He will reveal to you the way you should go day by day, moment by moment. Jesus is speaking to all believers as he did to his first apostles, "Follow Me!!" (John 21:22). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't be judging yourself or others. Here again, judging is messing with something that doesn't belong to you; that's God's job and He doesn't need your help, thank you very much. Your job is to be a witness for Him and His Son, Jesus. If you try to Judge yourself or others it will lead you to feelings of Pride or Inferiority; sometimes a little of both and either one will rob you of your Peace. Let God be God and stay out of the way. He will lead each of His children down their own unique path that He designed just for them. Comparing and Judging yourself and others is not only wrong, it is also meaningless. "Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: FORGIVE, AND YOU SHALL BE FORGIVEN" (Luke 6:37). This scripture is for yourself as well as others. In other words, forgive others AND yourself as well. Let's get on down to Praisin' the Lord!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: How much time did you spend today worrying about tomorrrow? However much time that was, that's how much of your life you wasted! "Secret things belong unto the Lord our God" (Deuteronomy 29:29). Tomorrow is in the future and that is a "secret" thing that belongs only to God. When you worry about tomorrow your messing with something that doesn't belong to you and that is SIN!! Stop being rebellious and doubting the Promises God has given you to take care of you today. When you worry about tomorrows burdens today, it makes the load to heavy to bare!! And then we wonder why we are so stressed out..... ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Pray unto the Lord with all of your heart for His Will to be done in your life, and see for yourself that He is all you ever hoped for and far more!!! But don't expect God to do things YOUR way; His ways are way above yours and He sees events in the future that you have no way of anticipating; so, don't be surprised if God surprises you!! The Father DOES know what's best!! In other words, It's better for you to pray for God to get what HE wants for your life, rather than praying for what YOU THINK is best for your life. If God slams a door in your face, it is either to protect you from something in your future that you can't see or He has something better in store for you behind another door!! Trust and Pray my friends, Trust and Pray.... ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There are some folks who feel like God does not Love them. The problem lies in the recieving end of communication with the Lord. You MUST learn to "BE STILL IN THE LIGHT OF HIS PRESENCE" for him to be able to communicate His Love to you. There is absolutely no force in the Universe as Powerful as the Love of God!! There is NO LIMIT to the Love of God and it fills all of Time, Space, and Eternity. Take Joy in the fact that you are guaranteed an eternity to enjoy His Presence and Love. But for now, the knowledge of His Loving Presence is sufficient to carry you through each day. Take time to be still and pray. Thank God for His Love and ask Him to pour it out into your life today. ~Pastor LynnJUST FOR TODAY: Nature hates a vacuum. That means that when there is a void, the natural world will do it's best to fill it with "something". God designed us with a great void within us. That emptiness is designed by God to be filled with HIM. But because of our God given free choice there are pitfalls we must be aware of. Your emtiness WILL become filled with "something". You have a continual choice of dependance on Jesus or the despair of the world. You can choose to be filled with His Presence or with problems. There is not room for both. As moses said, "Choose Life". Make Jesus the center of your consciousness by speaking His name and praying continually; short simple prayers from your heart will keep you in the fullness of His Presence. "Keep on asking and you will recieve, so that your gladness may be FULL and COMPLETE." (John 16:24) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: If you are faceing trouble today, even if it is big trouble, you MUST keep those things on the outer edge of your mind and save the central part of your brain for focusing on the Lord. Trusting and Thankfulness is what will get you through this day. Trusting in Jesus will protect you from worry and stress. Thankfulness will keep you from complaining and criticizing. Worry and complaining are two old ugly sisters that will never help get through any kind of trouble; they just always make things worse. If you are focused on the Lord, you can entrust all of your cares to Him because you know that He cares for you!! (1 Peter 5:7) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Today is a great day to pray. Especially if you are experiencing difficult times and life seems to be closing in on you. Just remember that you have access through prayer to the one with all of the Power and all of the Glory. So, humbly take your petitions and prayer to God. Jesus gave a great example of the way we should pray in Matthew chapter six and there are seven key eleme...nts in a good prayer. 1. Acknowledge God for who he is. 2. Pray for his will to be done in your life, your church, your community, EVERYWHERE. 3. Pray for whatever provision your need for yourself and others. 4. Pray for forgiveness for the things that you have done wrong (be sure to forgive others who have wronged you while you're at it; this part is not negotionable) 5. Pray for guidance and direction. 6. Pray for protection 7. Give Thanks and Praises to God for all He has done, what he is doing right now, and for all He is going to do in the future. This is not a formula; you cannot put God in a box. Just use these elements as a guide and pray with honesty and from your heart. Hypocrites need not apply. Thank you for your prayers, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TONIGHT: Do not be slack in your Prayer life. You may not be able to sing or play an instrument. You may not be able to teach or preach. There are many things that you may not be able to do, but every one of you CAN Pray!!! God has called each and every one of us to Spiritual Perserverance. He did not call us to just "hang on" and do nothing. He has called us to work diligently with... the confidence of knowing that He will NEVER be defeated. Love, Joy, Peace, Forgiveness, Justice, kindness, and all the other things that our Lord Jesus stood for WILL win out in the end and His goals should be our goals. We can all reach these Goals if we choose to Trust Him, be obedient, and let Him Live through us. He will bring fulfillment if we keep His commandment to Perservere. AND PRAY FOR HIS WILL TO BE DONE!!! (Revelation 3:10) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Today would be a great day for prayers of Thankfullness. I don't know what you are thankful for today, but for me I think I am most thankful for God's Mercy and His Grace. There was a time I didn't appreciate God's Mercy and Grace; in fact, I didn't even really know what it was. I don't think anybody is thankful for Mercy and Grace until they understand what it really means. Fo...r me, Mercy is knowing that God Loves me so much that He DOES NOT give me what I really deserve (punishment), and Grace....well, that's knowing that God Loves me so much that He DOES give me what I DO NOT deserve (Forgiveness and Salvation). Would you join me today in giving Him PRAISE for His Mercy and His Grace. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Arise, let us be going" (Matthew 26:46) Let these words of Jesus ring in your ears; especially if you are down and depressed. Sometimes we despair because of worry over things that have not even happened, and sometimes we despair because of real events in our lives. But the voice of Jesus inspiring us to "Arise, and get on with our life" is also very real, and He will hold on to us every step that we take. Satan would love for the memory of stumbling steps and past failures to defeat your next step. ARISE, because He who is in you is stronger than he who is the ruler of darkness and despair!! The voice of Satan brings forth despair and defeat; don't listen to that. Move forward Trusting God and listen to the sweet, strong voice of Jesus leading you to Peace and Victory!! ~Pastor Lynn JUST FOR TODAY: God is our Resource for ALL things; even the inspiration to "get up and get going". And when it comes we must obey and get up ourselves; God will not LIFT you up when He has told you to GET up!! Jesus told the man with the withered hand to "stretch out his hand". (Matthew 12:13) As soon as the man did so, his hand was healed. But the man had to take the initiative. When we step up in Faith to be an overcomer, God will supply the Resource of His Power. God does not give us overcoming life.....He gives us life as we overcome. In other words, God gives abundant life and power AFTER we get up and get going!!! What has God been trying to inspire you to do lately??? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: When Jesus finished what He came to do in this world, before He left to be at the right hand of the Father He said, "Peace is what I leave with you...". He not only left it here for us He said, "My Peace I give unto you....". What a gift!!! Now when someone gives you a gift, that doesn't mean you have to accept it does it? Many people reject Peace and instead they accept all th...is world has to offer. Then we wonder why our hearts are so troubled and our life is so full of fear. (John 14:27) Just remember it doesn't have to be that way for you because Jesus left His Peace here for you and it hasn't gone anywhere. It is still here and available to all who will accept it. What's your choice today?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Knock and the door will be opened; Seek and you will Find; ask and it shall be given to you." "You have not because you ask not." Has it ever crossed your mind that there might be someone out there tonight that has not recieved their miracle from God because YOU didn't ask Him for it? Have you knocked and seeked and asked God for ANYTHING today.....on behalf of someone else? J...esus Christ died on the cross for our redemption and to restore our relationship with God. As good Bible believing Christians redeemed by the blood of Jesus, we have the opportunity to go boldly to the throne of God. Don't you think it's about time we started taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity on a larger scale? I would like to challenge and encourage you to pray for somebody tonight because somebody needs it. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Well, next Tuesday is Valentine's Day; A day we celebrate "Love". So I thought it most appropiate to preach on 1st Corinthians, chapter 13; the "Love" Chapter as everyone calls it. Just how important is "Love" anyway? You can make a list of everything in the world and all things will be behind "Love". Mainly because the Bible tells us that God is "Love" so that in itself makes it the most important thing in all the Universe. Then Jesus tells us the most important of all the commandments is to "Love" God. And then Jesus added this right behind it, "Love one another as I have Loved you". And then....as Paul explains to us about "Spiritual Gifts" and how we are all different but important parts of the Body of Christ in Chapter 12, He closes the chapter with this "......yet I show to you a more excellent way." And that my friend is the way of "Love". Please read chapter 13 for yourself and then ask yourself this question: Is "Love" the most important thing in my life?? If you cannot honestly answer "yes", then adjustments in your life are certainly in order. May god richly bless you with His Love, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Well, there was enough coals this morning to get the fire roaring in both fire places. (with a little help from Nana's blow dryer). The horses are fed, the dogs are fed, Nana and both grand kids spending the night are all still asleep, and now I'm sippin' on a good hot cup of Guatemalan coffee. I hope that your day is startin' off as well as mine. Like all families, we have our... problems too, but I'm not going to dwell on the dark things in life this morning. How about you? Let's all count our blessings this morning and be thankful that God's Peace is always there for us, shining through the good times and the bad. I think that God is training all of us to seek His Peace that always overpowers the darkness in our lives. I pray that you will cooperate in this training. It really isn't all that hard to see God's Peace because it always stands out in sharp contrast to our circumstances. It's all a matter of what you chose to focus on. "Do not grow weary and lose heart". ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: How much do you trust the Lord Jesus? Enough to spend time with him when the week-end is pulling you away with all kind of activities that do not include Him?? Please don't fall into the habit of being constantly on the go. It is a trap that keeps you running and doing things that have absolutely no Spiritual worth or meaning. You will never have a meaningful relationship with ...the Lord if you don't spend some quality time with Him and stay in continuous communiction with Him. How could your life be any better than having Jesus instructing you and teaching you in the way you should go? If you will just trust Him and spend ample time with Him, He will counsel you and keep His eye upon you!! I pray that you and the Lord have a great week-end together! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: JESUS IS KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS!! He is ABOVE all things. He is even ABOVE your circumstances. When you cry out "HELP ME JESUS!!", He will lift you up Spiritually and help you to rise above your circumstances; He will give you Rest and Peace in "heavenly realms". Quit wallowing in self pity UNDER your circumstances. You are a child of God and He purposes you to be the head not the tail; no matter what your circumstances. Remember that He is above all things; even your problems, your pain, and ALL the ups and downs this old world may bring. If you will Trust Jesus and stay Focused on Him, you can be above all these things as well. He knows your weakness and He will meet you where you're at, but don't expect him to stay there and be your pity partner and wallow in the mire with you. He's ABOVE all of that!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Paul wrote to Timothy and told him, "I am being poured out like a drink offering....". What he was telling timothy was that he had completely poured out his life to mininster, care, and pray for others. I used to think what a great man Paul was, but I have come to realize that Paul's greatness was not because of the man he was but because of the God to whom he had surrendered. I... don't know about you, but I have been guiltly of saying, "I am not as "good" a Christian as Paul, therefore, I cannot do great things for God like he did." What a cop out!!! Being an awesome servant of God has not one thing to do with your abilities or your "goodness"; It all boils down to are we ready and willing to surrender our lives completely to God and then see HIS Greatness and Power work through us. Isn't the same Powerful Holy Spirit in you and I that was in Paul?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Your actions are an outward manifestation of an inward activity." ~Dave Howell. What's goin' on inside you today that will be shown to the outside world through your actions?? Do you really Love God this morning? Will you open your eyes this morning and open your mouth to say "Thank you, Lord!!"? Will you get up this morning and go Worship God at the church of your choice? G...od is worthy of your Praise and your Love. We all need to show others our Love for God through Worship and prove to Him and ourselves how much we Love Him for His Mercy, His Grace, and His many Blessings. Let us not foresake the gathering of ourselves together to Praise and Worship His Holy Name!!~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Love God, Love each other, and Tell everyone you know about Jesus!! Pretty simple ain't it? Oh, you can complicate it and make it a lot harder if you want to, but who wants to be a Pharisee? Jesus said if we Love Him, we will Keep (obey) His commandments. There is great reward to those who do not forget what Jesus says to do, and then does them..... not out of fear, but with the heart and full of Love. Proverbs 3:2 tells us the reward for this is the addition of longer days, and a longer life, and Peace. Why would anyone not want to sign up for that??? What about Loving each other and telling others about Jesus?? They will never come to pass if we do not get a firm grip on Loving God first. ~Pastor Lynn
What did Jesus say to the woman at the well? (John 4:7) He told her, "Give me a Drink". We are constantly asking God to quench our thirst when we should be satisfying His!! Doesn't Jesus deserve something out of His relationship with you besides satisfying all of YOUR needs? We should be pouring out our lives to Him and not just always drawing on Him to satisfy us. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, "You shall be witnesses to me...." That means living a life that reflects His nature to all those around us while having unrestrained devotion which is satisfying to HIM!! We sure do a bunch of that recieving; maybe it's time to do a little giving in return. What do you think?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TONIGHT: The number one thing we need to concentrate on is keeping our lives open to God. This means we must "behold" or look to God concerning every situation and circumstance in our life. If you are so busy that you can't look to God, you better throw the brakes on and slow down NOW!! Push everything else aside if you have to. It really is that important. We must absolutely maintain a position of beholding Him. Every thing else can come and go, and people can critize you if they want to, but don't you dare let anybody or anything block your view of God. There is no other way to stay out of the flesh and live the Spiritual life God intended for you to have except by staying focused and constantly looking to Him. All who are looking to the Glory of God are being transformed into the same image. You CAN be a better person tomorrow than you were today!!! It is not about what you do, but who you look to. (See 2nd Corinthians 3:18) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: God said, "I remember....the kindness of your youth." Remember back in your younger days when you were so quick to be kind to God and it wasn't always about expecting God to be kind to YOU?? Does everything in you life now fill God's heart with gladness, or does He just constantly hear you complain because things aren't goin' YOUR way? People who have forgotten what God remembers will not have a lot of Joy in their life..... How much kindness have you shown to God this week?? Just Askin'..... ~Pastor Lynn
Father, please forgive us for our lack of kindness to you. May the shame and humiliation of our lack of kindness lead us to repentance. Thank you for your Forgiveness, your Mercy, and Your Grace; in the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
"Godly sorrow produces repentance..." (2nd Corinthians 7:10)
JUST FOR TODAY: Even in all of His Glory and sitting at the right hand of the Father, Jesus is not and never will be unaccessable to YOU!! He is deeply touched by ALL of your feelings. Remember, Jesus once lived as a human and He went through that life experiencing the same problems and trials that we do. Only difference is He did it without sin. Because of this you do not have to hold back anything or any problem that you might have. He is not shocked at anything and He understands you better than you do. So don't be shy with Jesus. Step boldly forward to His throne of Grace and be a reciever of His Mercy. If you will only look to Him, you WILL find His Grace to help you in your time of need.....always. One more thing to be Thankful for TODAY. ~Pastor Lynn (Hebrews 4: 15-16)
JUST FOR TODAY: Return to the Lord this day with Praises and Singing!! Everlasting Joy will be poured all over you if you do. Spend time with the Lord this morning and in His Presence He will fill you with Gladness and Joy for He Loves you and is overjoyed to have you back. If you are full of Gladness and Joy, the Devil will flee and the sorrow and morning he intended for you, well, he'll just have to take that with him won't he! (Isiah 51:11). ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The call of God is the expression of His nature, and we can only recognize the call if that same nature is in us. The call of God is the expression of His nature, not ours. The call of God is sometimes a principle that is for ALL Believers; other times it is very personal and we should always be able to distinguish between the two. Never seek another persons opinion about the call of God on YOUR life; the way you deal with it should be kept strictly between you and God. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Many of todays "modern" Christians believe that God will only call them to do what they have a natural ability and desire to do. There is a Greek word for that kind of thinking......BALONEY!! When God calls out "Whom shall I send?" as He did in Isaiah 6:8, that is a straight up question for ALL Christians. The call of God has nothing to do with your natural abilities, your perso...nal desires, or your temperment. If you stay within the boundaries of your own abilities and traits, you will never hear the call of God. That doesn't mean He's not calling you; it just means that you're not LISTENING!!! Most of us can't hear anything from God because we are too busy listening to ourselves. BUT.... if we will allow the Holy Spirit to bring us to the place where we can hear the call of God, we will be profoundly changed ....Forever. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We clean up and put on our good clothes when we go to town so we look pretty good to most folks. Touching up our outward apprearance will fool most folks, but God sees straight through you into the depths of your being. There is no place for "puttin' on the dog" in your Relationship with Jesus. Be honest and lay it all on the line before Him and He will transform your weaknesse...s into Strengths!! Please, please never forget that your Relationship with God is based on GRACE. Grace: unmerited favor from God; that means that even though we don't deserve his favor, he gives it to us anyway!! Bottom line is, nothing that you do or don't do can ever separate you from His Love and His Peace. Believe and Recieve today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Today would be a great day to let the Lord Bless you with His Grace and Peace. You really can recieve these things right now!! How? Just open your heart and mind for all that God has in store for you. Above all things, do not worry or be ashamed if you feel empty. Look at it this way; Feeling empty is a great opportunity for God fill you up with His Peace. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There was a time in my life when I constantly humiliated God by ignoring Him, all the while He continured to treat me as His child. Once I began to listen to Him, to really hear his voice, all that humiliation that I had heaped on Him came back to me. My responce then became, "Lord, why was I so insensitive and stubborn??" This is always the result once we hear God's voice. Eve...n though I feel very real delight in hearing God, I still feel the shame for taking so long to do so. Have you been down this road?? Traveling down the road of not listening to God is very bumpy and extremely dangerous. Maybe it's time to exit off that old road and get on the Super-Hiway of listening to God. Be sure and be prepared to pay the toll of obedience. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you all stressed out? Could be because you are trying to make things happen before God says it's time. Timing is one of the ways that God asserts HIS authority and His timing is always perfect. Never late, never wrong. So, relax and just ask God to show you how to move forward moment by moment. This will help you to stay close to God and go about things His way and in His timing. Rushing headlong with your agenda without His timing and guidance can be disastorous as well as very stressful. Slow down a little and enjoy the journey; God is still on the throne and always will be. GIVE HIM PRAISE!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Funny thing about TRUST. The more you do it, the better you get at it. And the better you get at Trusting God, the more he empowers you to join Him in His work and become all that He intended for you to be. TRUST is one of those "Spiritual Treasures" that Jesus told us to "lay up (deposit) in Heaven (Matthew 6:21). For many years I thought that if I laid up treasures in Heaven..., I would have to die and go to Heaven to get access to all those "Treasures". Isn't that silly?? I finally got the Revelation that God would never ask you to deposit precious Spiritual Treasures with Him and then not give you access to them when you needed them here on earth!! Trusting Jesus during the good and easy times is like putting money in the bank. When times get hard and tough, God will allow you to make withdrawels of Trust from your Heavenly account to get you through any circumstance. GOD IS GOOD!!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Sometimes we look at our mountains as huge problems and barrierers when we should be lookin' at them as Opportunities. We pray for God to REMOVE the mountain, and He can do that, but if He choses not to, we should quit bein' full of Fear and Doubt, start Trusting God and let Him help us CLIMB that mountain. Either way, God will always help you to come out on top!! "God IS our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: I remember goin' coon huntin' with my Daddy when I was a little boy. One night I took off running ahead of my Daddy in the woods. Just about the time I heard him holler "WAIT", a low tree limb caught me right between the eyes! My feet went up in the air over my head and the first thing to hit the ground was the back of my head! The next morning I looked like one of the critters that me and them dogs was chasin'. The moral to the story is: Don't take off running if your Daddy says to wait. In other words, don't run before God gives you His direction. If there is any doubt.........WAIT. Failure and black eyes are a sure sign of impatience and not nowing your own limitations. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can direct the course of your life successfully!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you ever feel like you are surrounded by clouds and darkness? When I get like that the only thing that helps me is reading my Bible and Prayer. To me, it's like visting an old dear friend who cares about me and always lifts me up. Jesus said, "The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are Life" (John 6:63). Unlike the Old Testiment times, God does not speak to us with visions and dreams, but by His Words. If you need a good dose of Spirit and Life today from God Almighty, come and get it the simplest way......through His Word to you.......and YOUR words to Him. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: This new year does not have to be like all the rest; same old stuff, different year. If you want to learn something and have a better life you must be "teachable"; willing to walk close to God with an open mind. As Paul writes, you must be "transformed by the renewing of your mind". Your mind will never be renewed if you continue to cling to your old ways. If you think you can keep doing the same old things and get some new results, you're crazy! Give yourself fully to the Lord; He understands you completely and Loves you without end. "He knows the plans He has for you: plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a furture." (Jeremiah 29:11) ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY:I want to be a God "sandwich" in 2012!! I want a big slice of God in front of me; "for the Lord will go before you..." and a big slice of God behind me; "and the God of Israel will be your rear guard" (Isaiah 52:12) Then right in the middle with me, I want to be garnished with God's Promises, His Blessings, and His guidance. Come on 2012.....BRING IT!!!! ~Pastor Lynn ************** JUST FOR TODAY: It's Monday morning; YEEEEEEEHAWWWWWW!!!! First Monday of the first week of the new year. Guess all of you have already made your New Year's Resolutions? Some of you want to quit Smoking; some of you want to quit drugs or alcohol; some of you want to lose weight; Seems as if we all have our own personal battles of some kind to fight don't we? I've got one for you to try on for ...size: "My earnest expectation and hope is that I will do nothing, say nothing, or even think anything that I will be ashamed of, but with all boldness I will Glorify Jesus Christ with the way that I Live or Die.". This is my own little paraphrase of Phillipians 1:20. Kind of puts a whole new light on the word "commitment" doesn't it. Forget about luck; Good Blessings to you, ~Pastor Lynn
The closer you walk with the Lord, the more you will become your true self....the one that He designed you to be. ~Pastor Lynn
If you are concerned with how other people are treating you or what other people think about you, these are signs that you have lost your focus on Jesus Christ. ~Pastor Lynn
Jesus Christ is the gift that keeps on giving!! Who else can cleanse your heart, renew your mind, heal your body, and give you eternal life?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus said we must "...become as little children". (Matthew 18:3) When you have a situation in your life and the Holy Spirit tells you how to handle it, do you say "Yes, daddy" or do you say "I won't submit!". Don't hold God responsible for consequences that YOU produce when you Trust in YOUR abilities instead of HIS. God looks at this refusal as willful disobedience and He will hold YOU accountable for it. Your indepenence and self-will that your Pride calls strength, God calls it stubborn weakness! If you hold on to ruling your own life, you will lose it. Today would be a good time to start letting God be the Boss in your life. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: You know God could not answer our prayers if he didn't listen to them first. Oh, I know that God knows what we are going to say before we say it, but the point is that He listens before He takes action. How can we, as human beings, ever help others if we don't LISTEN to them?? Someone may need to talk to you today. If so, please don't think about what YOU'RE going to say while they are talking and keep interupting with "but you need to do this" or "if I were you, I would do that". Just for once, why don't we all try to be quiet and listen.....to others and the Holy Spirit. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Well, Christmas has come and gone and now you are facing the coming of another New Year. Are you going to face the challenges and problems of this coming year with your own Strength? Big mistake. Didn't you try that in previous years and wound up either crying out to God for help, or just give up and turn away in bitterness? This year, try something that works much better. Wal...k close to Jesus and depend on his Strength and Trust Him in all your circumstances. You will not only experience more Peace, but you will accomplish more and do less. Some folks will think you're gettin' lazy, but what other people think of you is none of your business. Many more will be blessed by your Peacefulness. Walk in the light with Jesus, and let all the people around you see Him......through YOU!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: DO NOT overlook and neglect the unrivaled POWER and BEAUTY of the Holy Spirit and the Atonement of the blood of Christ!! Todays society trains, pumps iron, eats high protien diets, and visits the plastic surgeons because we lust to have powerful and beautiful physical bodies. We go to colleges and universities seeking B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees; we will stay up late studying and... reading to have a Powerful and Beautiful mind. We do all these physical and intellectual things while our Spiritual life is literally "going to Hell in a wheel barrow"!! When are we going to learn that our Spiritual life controls ALL the rest of it and that the most POWERFUL and BEAUTIFUL people in the world are the ones who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and His Holy Spirit is flowing through them to others. BELEIVE IT, RECEIVE IT, and LET IT FLOW!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Psalms 18:36~"You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip". When God delivered you from sin, you were "filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18) and you began "walking in the light", it seemed like a lofty mountain top experience, but this place that you are living in is not a precarious position on a lofty mountain top where you are likely to fall. On the contrary, when you are in relationship with the Lord Jesus, there is security and plenty of room to live and grow. The most dangerous and unsure thing in the world is to try to live without God. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus deals with you where you are. "We must learn to deal with other people the same way until they realize their true need. At that point we must lift up the standard of Jesus Christ to them. They may balk and say, " oh,I can't live up to that standard!!" But Jesus Christ says you can; How? That is when we must drive home the point, "You can't...unless you have a new Spirit...."~Oswald Chambers. God does not give us the Power to live up to the standard of Jesus Christ, He gives it to the Holy Spirit who lives within us. (Luke 11:13) And the Holy Spirit God gives to us freely....if we will only ask. May the Living Waters flow freely to you and your loved ones today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Always use the right caliber of ammo!! You don't go bear huntin' with a .22 and you don't go squirrel huntin' with a 45/70. As workers for Christ, we must always be shootin' scriptures into the world to expose sin and lift up Jesus Christ as Savior. This does not always make us popular but we must pull the trigger anyway. It is none of your business what other people think about you. We must be willing to look at people the way God has looked at us. Then we must shoot the right caliber of scripture to drive home the truth, and never be afraid to pull the trigger!! The souls of other people are worth much more than their opinions of you. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There is no amount of wealth worth damaging one minute of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "What good is it to gain the whole world but lose your own soul". At one time, I was a work-aholic; I worked at least 300 hours of overtime every year at the factory plus sometimes a part-time job. I don't have a whole lot to show for all that work and it's all because I had no time for God and very little for my family; it certainly cost me dearly. Take some good advice from someone who has been there and done that; ALWAYS take time to Love God and your family. If you will provide THAT, God will surely provide all the rest. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Sometimes Jesus is not very poplular. Why is that? It is because of what he said in Matthew 10:34~"I did not come to bring peace but a sword". If you cannot come to god, it is because you have some secret sin that you have no intention of giving up. You will admit your sin, but will you give it up for Jesus?? If you will not give up your sin, Jesus will painfully pierce it with his sword and cut it out!! We all want the blessings of God, but we don't like the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to cut right through to the heart of the matter. People all over the world profess to be happy without God. If this could be true, why did Jesus come? He came with His sword to cut through all the sinful nonsense that separates us from God and anything that hinders our personal relationship with Him. Be very thankful if Jesus is whittling away on you! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We know that all things work together for good to those who love God....~Romans 8:28. Are you a Faithful person who truly believes that God sovereinly controls your circumstances? "To be faithful in every circumstance means that we have only one loyalty, or object of our Faith- the Lord Jesus Christ. The goal of Faithfulness is not that we will do work for God, but that He will be free to do H...IS work through us!! God calls us to His service and places tremendous responsibilties on us. He expects no complaining on our part and offers no explanation on His part."~Oswald Chambers. That's pretty hard to do sometimes isn't it?? But if we will just learn to choose to Worship God, even when our hearts are breaking, He will heal our broken hearts and change our circumstances in his perfect timing. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Living close to God requires making Him your "First Love". That means making Him your highest priority; not your family, not your job, not the TV, or your favorite sport. Is God really that important?? Well, that depends on how full of Peace and Joy you really want to be doesn't it? Peace and Joy; you only get the full measure of them when you seek God's Presence in your life above all else. Remember this; If you travel through this life in the Presence of God, His Glory will brighten the whole World around you. I pray that the light of God will shine brightly in your World today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Have Faith, Hope, and Charity.....That's the way to live successfully....How do I know? The Bible tells me so....". Great song lyrics from a great Lady, Dale Evans. I used to sing this song with a big smile on my face when I was just a little boy; standin' on a five gallon bucket washin' windshields at my Daddy's station. Faith in an almighty living God, Hope for the future in...all of His promises, and Charity (Love) for the Lord Jesus and all of mankind is truly successful living at it's best!! Of the three, do not misunderstand HOPE. Hope does not mean "wishful thinking". Nothing could be further from the truth. The "Hope of Heaven" is reality; it became true the moment you recieved Christ as your Saviour and Heaven became your ultimate destination!! I Hope you have a big smile on YOUR face today!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you need an attitude adjustment? As long as you try to serve two ends, yourself and God, your life will be filled with confusion and perplexity. That wonderful Peace that Jesus left for you will be gone. To get it back you must adjust your attitude to be one of complete reliance on God. Once you get to that point, there is nothing easier than living a Christian life. Difficulty comes in when you want to go over the authority of the Holy Spirit with your own plans. When you Obey and Trust God, you can live in Peace because you know that He is aware of all your problems and you can watch and see how He makes everything work out. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: It is not what a man does that is of final importance, but what he is in what he does. The atmosphere produced by a man, much more than his activities, has the lasting influence.~Oswald Chambers What kind of atmosphere are you producing...at home, on the job, in your church?? Any man or woman who produces an atmosphere of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, meekness, and moderation will always be remembered as a great person. All others will be forgotten or remembered for their Evil doings. ~Pastor Lynn (Galations 5:22-23)
JUST FOR TODAY: I know that you are busy; it's a busy time of year, but for goodness sake please take time to be Holy. And you say, "HOLY....ME???" Most of us don't really think we are capable of being Holy, but we can be and we should be. The word Holy does not mean to be "goody-goody", pious, or "Holier than thou"; it means "set apart for sacred use". Simply put, set apart some of your time... to spend with God; "sacred use" is using your time to Thank God, Praise Him, Read some scripture, and Pray!! When you take time to focus your heart and mind on Jesus, you are being transformed and re-created to be what He designed you to be in the first place. Some things can be left undone when life gets hectic, but communion with the Lord ain't one of 'em. ~Pastor Lynn CPT
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't be dancin' around with Satan's two old ugly sisters; Worry and Fear!! It's a whole lot more fun holdin' on to the two beautiful ladies by the name of Peace and Joy. Them two old ugly sisters will NEVER help you accomplish anything; they will ALWAYS weigh you down and make you sick; they will ALWAYS cause you to miss out on God's promises; they will ALWAYS display to God how little Faith and Trust you have in Him. Life is too short to dance with these ugly old biddies!! Send them packin' with some good Prayer time and stay focused on Jesus. Peace and Joy will be tappin' you on the shoulder before you know it sayin', "Let's Dance"!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Give up the idea of a risk free life. You have to be willing to step out in Faith where ever God leads you; even if it's out on a limb. Being in a risky position is the safest place to be if you are in the center of God's will. In other words, did God lead you to where you are at? Then that will be a safe place. Let the Holy Spirit lead you step by step through every day. Stay focused on Jesus and you can ride the dangerous trails without being afraid. His Presence will protect you no matter where you go. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: You money, your time, and your work is NOT what God desires the most from you and these things will not help you if you don't give God what He wants the most from you.......your heart. If you will give God your heart and stay close to Him, He will keep you on the path that He has prepared for you. What God is looking for in you is an awakened Soul that thrills to the Joy of His Presence; RELATIONSHIP!!! God created you to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. He will provide the Joy; your part is to give him your heart and live close to Him. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: "Surely the Lord is in this Place...." I pray that all of you have a great day today, but unfortunately it seems like in this old fallen world, there are always problems and troubles to deal with. What we have to keep in the forefront of our mind is that the Lord is always with us. No matter what your circumstances are today, Let the Presence of the Lord override anything and everything that you may experience. If He brought you to it, He will get you through it!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There are only two kinds of people in the world: Recievers and Rejectors. Which one are YOU?? I hope all of you Recievers out there will join me in trying to show the Rejectors what they are missing. The Holy Spirit is just like the wind, you can't see it, but you can sure see the effects of it. Hopefully the Rejectors will re-think their position concerning the Cross of Jesus and their Salvation and become Recievers. Please invite a Rejector to come to church with you today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: One of the many wonderful attributes of God is His Faithfulness. He has given us many Promises in His Word and He has never failed to do any of them. On the other hand of this relationship, have you kept all the promises or vows that YOU have made to God? Have you even made any vows to God? We just Love it when God keeps His promises to us!! Don't you you think that He Loves it when we keep our promises to Him?? A true Relationship with Jesus is never one sided and neither is Faithfulness. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Once you are rooted in reality, nothing can shake you. If your faith is in experiences, anything that happens is likely to upset that faith. But nothing can ever change God or the reality of redemption. Base your faith on that, and you are as eternally secure as God Himself. Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will never be moved again!! ~Oswald Chamber...s The Word of God says that we will experience trouble in this old fallen World, but those experiences and circumstances never change the fact that God Loves you and they will never change your destination and where you will be residing 10,000 years from now if you put your Faith in Him!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you have needs and desires in your life today? Of course you do!! The good news is that Jesus Christ has all the riches and resources to more than match all of your needs. God never designed us to be self-sufficient; He made us with longings and cravings with feelings of incompleteness so that we would look to Him. Do not make the error of looking to other people, possession...s, or your own resourcefulness to fulfill your desires and make you feel complete. Come to the Lord with all of your needs and petitions; you will find that the intimate time you spend in His Presence will fulfill your lifelong desires and make your feel complete. Rejoice in your needs that point you to the Lord....and PRAY!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it. Someone wrote this good advise that I'm sure was intended to be about human adulterous relationships, but your Relationship with the Lord Jesus should not be kept secret either. Don't ever try to get out of it, just shout it from the rooftops! If other folks have to wonder about your Relationship with Jesus it's because you are neglecting it or maybe you don't even have one. Either way, you need to to fix that today!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Why, oh why, do people let their soul get discouraged because of the way? (See Numbers 21:4) Thankstgiving was only last week and people are already murmering and complaining this week. Do you think God will put up with that out of his people? (See Numbers 21:6)" And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died". We bett...er shut that complaining up and get back to being thankful like we were last week! "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" is an old saying of mankind that may or may not work in the flesh, but it is a hopeless mistake to try using that on God!! I don't know about you, but I would rather have God's favor on my life instead of gettin' bit by the Devil!! What's your choice today?? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: There is no such thing as chance in the life of a born again believer! God brings people, places, and circumstances into your life to accomplish specific purposes by the Spirit that lives in you! All things (people, places, and circumstances) work for good if you are a God Lover, and you are called according to HIS purpose (Romans 8:28). All "things" are to be taken in prayer to... the throne of God. Then what happens when we do this? Our prayers allow the Holy Spirit to interceed on the behalf of those "things" that we pray for and about (Romans 8:26). This means that God is going to touch every "thing" (person, place, and circumstance) in your life that you pray for and about. What if YOU don't pray? People that don't get prayed for live in Spiritual poverty and ruin; they die and go to Hell. Your prayers DO make a difference.....Let the Living Waters flow!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The time for the great Revival is NOW!! It's time for believers to be DOERS!! This standing around while folks are dieing and going to Hell has got to stop. It's time for a "crisis of believe" to cause people to take action and come to Christ and for those that have come to let the living water given to them flow out of them to others!! Pray about this....please......and don't let up. Get up this ...mornin' , be on fire for the Lord, go to church SOMEWHERE,.....PRAY!!!........AND WORSHIP!!! One person on fire for the Lord can cause a domino effect; YOU just might be the one person to crack the door open with your enthusiasm enough for the Holy Spirit to blow it wide open!!! If you don't have a home church, GET ONE!! COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH is located at 4092 Norge Road, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Come with the great expectation of God touching you and changing not only your life, but those around you as well. LET THE LIVING WATERS FLOW!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We only have 49 days left for each one of us to lead one person to Christ before 2012. I am praying that this challenging goal is burning a hole in your heart and in your mind. Are you actively working on this God-Sized assignment or are you still struggling with a crisis of belief?? What you DO between now and January 1st will reveal more about what you really believe about God than what you SAY you believe. In plain old CPT, Actions speak louder than words. ~Pastor Lynn
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Thank you Lord for your Word, Love, and Power. Help us Lord, today, to see every circumstance, even the difficult ones, as an opportunity and not a hinderence to grow closer to you. You have told us that you would never allow more to be put on us than what we could stand. What Peace you give us knowing that we do not have to worry about ever reaching that breaking point. Thank you precious Lord for the increase in Strength that you give us to more than match any thing Satan throws at us today. In the name of Jesus.....Amen!!!
JUST FOR TODAY: Does God give you the same amount of strength everyday? Of course not. Each and every day has it own amount of difficulty, so why would God give you the same amount of Strength when some days you need less, and some days you need more. The amount of Strength that God gives you is based on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances and just how willing you are to Trust Him and depend on Him for Help. God's Word Promises, "As your day, so shall your Strength be" ~Deuteronomy 35:25. This means that if the World gives you lot's of problems, God will give you lot's of STRENGTH!! Stand on that and GIVE HIM PRAISE!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: We are all looking for something. Some of us are even trying to look into the future; searching and seeking to the point that it turns into that great tool of Satan....WORRY! Worry is a burden that God never intended for you to bear. Most of the things that we worry about never come to pass and even if they do, worrying is not going to change the outcome of the future one way or ...the other; so why worry? Of all worldly things and possesions that people all over the world seek after and worry about, God knows that we have need of these things. "BUT RATHER SEEK YE THE KINGDOM OF GOD; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. FEAR NOT, LITTLE FLOCK; FOR IT IS YOUR FATHER'S GOOD PLEASEURE TO GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM." ~Luke 12:31-32 Our God is able and willing to meet your needs today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Is something or someone oppressing you or causing you trouble today? If so, the Lord will be your refuge. The word refuge here means " a high place". The Lord Jesus is able to lift you up above the circumstances of your problems, but you must know Him and put your Trust in Him before He can help you get to that refuge. The Lord has not and never will forsake anyone that seeks Him. Please read Psalm 9:9-10 and 1st John 2:3-4. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Love the Lord and do good. Today is the day that God will engineer the circumstances of your life to allow you to be kind and show someone His Love through YOUR actions. Faith without action is a dead faith. Let's all show the world today just how alive our God and our Faith both are!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Don't be devastated by difficult days; be stimulated!! Have confidence today that you and the Lord Jesus can handle anything together. He has helped you through hard times before hasn't He? Coping successfully with hard times depends on three things: Your relationship with Jesus, Promises in the Bible, and your experiences in the past when you have made it through hard times with God's help. God never changes. If He has helped you before, He will do it again!! Remember that it is in His Presence that we live and move and have our being. FEAR NOT; FOR GOD IS WITH YOU: HE WILL STRENGTHEN YOU; YES, HE WILL HELP YOU; YES, HE WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!! Stand on this scripture from Isaiah 41:10. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: God knows what you need, and He will supply it abundandly. Your security this morning does not depend on your posessions or if your plans work out the way you want them to. God wants us to depend on Him and live in His Presence. We must learn to be satisfied with much or little and quit trying to grab and control everythin in our life. We must learn to release and receive and there is only one way to do that. Trust God every day, one day at a time. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Do you feel weak today but yet you know you must have Strength to get through the day? You can always find the strength you need in the Lord, Jesus. Your yielded heart will draw His Power into your life like a magnet. Do not condemn yourself because you need help today. Instead, let His Power and the light of His Love fill your every need. Yield yourself to God's will and commit to an act of TRUST. Isaiah 30:15 tells us "In returning (to God) and rest shall ye be saved; in quiteness and confidence shall be your STRENGTH". ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Have you told somebody about Jesus today? Did you have to use words or did they see it in your smile? Maybe in the kindness of your eyes? Maybe it was in that warm hand shake or a big ol' hug? Maybe it was just watchin' you live your life as the "New Creature"? Have a blessed day and lead somebody to Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TONIGHT: The challenge is on!! Are you up to it?? I challenge every one of you who are believers in Jesus Christ to lead just one person to Christ by the first of the year. Of course, feel free to lead more than one if you want to. Pray about this, then DO what the Lord puts on your heart. After you have prayed about it, then try your best to LIVE the Faith that you TALK about. Prayer and Love is what brings folks into the Kingdom of God; nothing else will do. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Well, ain't this just dandy; somebody started off your day by saying something hurtful and treating you unfairly! Did you really expect to be treated fairly? In this life? You're dreaming. People will say and do hurtful things to you in this life; things that you don't deserve. So, what are you gonna do about it?? Get even?? NO!! Take a deep breath and calm down. This is just an opportunity God has given you to grow in Grace. Instead of trying to get even, why don't you see how fast you can forgive the one who hurt you? (oooh...that's hard ain't it!!) God's opinion of you is much more important than the person who is running you down. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Since I have been in the ministry, I have learned not to make too many plans. The first phone call or message of the day may completely change all of my wonderfully made plans and they may fly right out the window. Don't get all bent out of shape when this happens to you. Just know that God has a different path for you to follow that day than the one YOU had planned. Your plans may have led you or someone else away from God; His will always lead you and those around you closer to Him. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you stuck in a rut? You know, one of those people that say, "different day, same old stuff". What this usually means is that we are not Trusting in God like we should. We get so preoccupied with our future plans and decisions that we fail to make decisions we need to make TODAY!! Forget about tomorrow and pay attention to right now. God created you AND the whole universe. ... He is the most creative Being you will ever know. Get close to Him and He will never lead you down a boring path of routine!! Stay in communication with Him and follow His guiding Presence. There is nothing more exciting than a life shared with the Lord Jesus as your Saviour and Friend. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The missionary's great essential is remaining true to the call of God, and realizing that his one and only purpose is to disciple men and women to Jesus. Remember that there is a passion for souls that does not come from God, but from our desire to make converts to our point of view. ~Oswalt Chambers One day we will all stand before God and He is not going to ask us what OUR point of view is; He is not going to ask us what denomination we are; What He is going to ask us is if we knew His Son, Jesus, and did we have an intimate relationship with Him; Did we Love Him and obey His commandments? ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: I pray that all of you are in God's hand today. If you are not, then you are very fortunate because "today is the day of salvation". Please accept the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ has already purchased for you with His life. You can't ever earn it, you can't buy it, you can never be "good" enough to deserve it. Jesus did not die on the Cross because you deserved it; He did it because He Loves you. Always has, always will. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: OK....wipe that scowl off and slap a smile on that pretty face of yours!! Be in Christ and let that new creation shine!! Let your old ways die and all things become new. Let's all be Thankful this morning to God that He leads us in Triumph through Jesus Christ!! Why be concerned about "gettin' the victory" when we belong to the "VICTOR"!! You are not a plodding pilgrim; YOU are more than a conquorer!! Forget about the artificial smell good and slap on the fragrance of Christ. If you are surrounded by the sweet aroma of Christ, YOU will be a wonderful refreshment not only to God, but to all those around you today. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Unawareness and disobedience are the two things that disrupt our closeness to the Lord. We become unaware of His Presence when we let the pressure and stress of this life cause us to forget about Him. We forget that Jesus is ALWAYS with us even when we do not "feel" His closeness. That is why we can't trust our life to the way we "feel". Disobedience to the commandments of Jesus pushes Him out of our life and slams the door in His face. Yet, He remains just outside the door of our hearts with open arms; waiting patiently for us to let him back into our lives. Marvelous ARE His works; and THAT your soul should know right well!! ~Pastor Lynn
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Dear Lord, today may bring circumstances that don't go our way and maybe we will even suffer loss of something or somebody. Your Word says "Blessed be the name of the Lord" in the very same scripture that also says that "the Lord gives and the Lord takes away". So, Lord, please help us to Praise your name no matter what this day may bring. Only you know what we need and don't need. Let us be grateful for all of our blessings, and yet prepared to let go of anything that you take from us. Please hold our hand and help us through it all, one way or another. AMEN!! ~Pastor Lynn Job 1:21
JUST FOR TODAY: When Jesus sets you FREE, you are FREE indeed!! As a believer, your greatest freedom through Christ is to be close to God. To get really close to God, you must enter through His gate and His court. In Psalm 100:4, King David tell us exactly how to do just that: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. So, start your day by being thankful and then Praise God's Holy name. You may feel a closeness you've never felt before and I promise you that God will touch your life today!! ~Pastor LynnPRAYER FOR TODAY: Dear Lord, we have come through your gate with Thanksgiving, and we are standing in your court Praising your name. Lord, you know where we are; please help US to be aware of where WE are, close to you and in your Presence. Now speak to us loudly and fluently; let us hear your voice. Please let your Holy Spirit be a lamp unto our feet to guide us and teach us all things. Let us be your vessel and be all that you want us to be. In the name of Jesus, may we always know and be aware of just how close you really are to us. Amen! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Are you starting the week off in FEAR?? Do you need protection?? You can have it if you live in the shelter of the Most High, and abide in the shadow of the Almighty. This is a great place to live and abide. Want to move in with God?? Then tell him, "YOU are my REFUGE and my FORTRESS; YOU are my GOD, in whom I will TRUST!!". Speak this into your life right NOW, and go forth in PEACE............ ~Pastor Lynn PSALM 91:1-
JUST FOR TODAY: In this world we live in, suffering can strike anyone of us at anytime. As believers, how are we to handle suffering. Well, the first thing we have to do is remember that God is sovereign. That means that He is in control of the situation and He can bring good out of our trials and suffering. Don't try to run or hide from your pain and problems; lay them at the foot of the cross and offer them up for God's purposes. Trusting and Thanking God in times of adversity will bring you closer to him and when the smoke clears....He will give you beauty for ashes. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Live for Today and depend on the Lord Jesus for every moment Don't worry about the things you can't control and just rejoice in His abundant resorces. Don't make a list of things you can do by yourself and then a list of things that require God's help. Instead, train yourself to Trust God in every situation. Stress will melt away and you can start each day with confidence. He is still King of Kings, He still heals, He still answeres prayer, He still protects and provides for His people, and He ALWAYS Loves YOU!!! ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Every thing you could possibly hope for and dream of has all come together in the Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and last: He is, He was, and He is to come. The Presense of Jesus in your life will shield you from all evil. He has lifted you out of darkness into His marvelous light!! Everthing else in this world can come and go, but Jesus said that He would be with you always. When you become Born Again by inviting Jesus into your heart and save you, you gain the one thing which you absolutely need the most, and He is the one thing that you can never lose. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: God did not call us to wittness or preach merely to impart information. After this comes prayer and longing to see transformation. I started out preachin' scared to death; then I got to where I loved to preach; now I just Love the people that I preach to. I pray that revelation from God's word will bless you and change your life forever. I thank the good Lord and all of you for allowing me to be your Pastor. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: Always remember that God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He is Lord of everthing that is and everything that will be. Even though He is so vast and huge, He choses to live in the tiny hearts of mankind! Be in awe of the Power and the Glory of His Spirit within you. This Holy Spirit is your teacher, your helper, and your comforter; all you have to do is ask. Don't ever neglect the Holy Spirits Power in your life, even when the way looks easy enough for you to go it on your own. This is when you are in the greatest danger from satan's lies. Pride goes before the Fall!! Trust Him in ALL things.... big or small. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: This is the day that the Lord has made!! Are you rejoicing and glad that it is His day? If not, release all of your worries and cares to Him. God is abundantly present in your life and you must learn to Trust Him. Instead of regretting and resenting the circumstances of your life, count your blessings and thank God no matter what your circumstances are. Trust God and fear not! He is like a strong tower that you can run into and rest in His Peace. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: When you finally see the light, you will come to the light, and that's all Jesus wants you to do is COME. When you come to Jesus you will not ask him what great thing He wants you to do. You will just be willing to do ANYTHING for Him because He has given EVERYTHING for you!!! Have you seen the Light?? I think I hear him knockin' right now............. ~Pastor Lynn *please read Matthew 11:28 and Acts chapter 9*

JUST FOR TODAY: We humans are a fickle lot, aren't we? Our thoughts and actions run hot and cold depending on how we feel due to our current circumstances. I am glad that God is not like that. His Love for us is an ever lasting Love. Our human minds can't even really comprehend just how constant that really is. We need to look beyond our circumstances and discover that Jesus is always gazing at us with Loving eyes. Aren't you glad that His Love for you is as constant as your need of it. ~Pastor Lynn
JUST FOR TODAY: The good Lord is always with us and watching over us. His Presence with us is a Promise....forever. We don't have to worry about the future because He is already there. God is not limited by time and space or anything else like we are. The future is in His hand alone, and He releases it to us on a daily basis. That's why Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow". From God's viewpoint, the past is forgiven and the future is certain so we don't have to worry about either one! Use your energy to see and do all there is TODAY while staying focused on His Presence and you will have ABUNDANT life, which He also has Promised. ~Pastor Lynn
September 27, 2011 JUST FOR TODAY: When we become "Christians" and are no longer considered "sinners", why are we still so good at it. I guess the only thing stronger and bigger than the ugliness of our sin is the Power and Immenseness of God's grace. How do you think God would respond if you asked him, "how sorry do I have to be for my sin???"...... "Oh, stubborn child...sorry enough to stop it!"

JUST FOR TODAY: Do you need encouragement in your life?? Then take the time to encourage someone else who needs it worse than you do. Do you need healing in your body? Then take the time to pray for family and friends that are sicker or hurt worse than you are. Do you need someone to Love you? Then Love God because He Loved you first and Love other people because God said to. What ever it is that you need....then plant the seed. Will you reap what you sow?? Absolutely!!! ~Pastor Lynn
September 22nd, 2011 JUST FOR TODAY: God is your strength and your song. Since He is your strength, let him help you with all task that come before you. Because He is your song, He can give you Joy as you work with Him to accomplish His goals for your life on a daily basis. Humans are the only creatures God created that can think about the future. Don't misuse this blessing by worrying about tomorrow. If your thinking about the future, think about Heaven!! ~Pastor Lynn
September 21st, 2011 JUST FOR TODAY: Paul wrote that our troubles are light and momentary compared to the etenal glory being achieved by them. We need to look at problems from God's perspective and not let little problems cause us to lose our focus on HIM. Let the Light of God's presence shine on all your problems. The little ones will get an "oh well" and you won't waste the energy you may need for the bigger problems. You might be surprised how your Big God can make Big problems look pretty small. ~Pastor Lynn
September 19th, 2011 JUST FOR TODAY: Take courage my friends. It is true that this life is full of strife and trouble at times, BUT it is also true that for believers, there is an eternity of stress free life just around the corner, waiting for you in Heaven!! So stop worrying. Worry changes nothing and it will block your awareness of God's Presence in your life. Worry is one of Satan's greatest tools to cause you to believe his lies. Remember; Spiritual battles are won and lost in your mind. ~Pastor Lynn
September 18th, 2011 JUST FOR TODAY: God requires three things of His people. First, you must "do Just"; that means do the right thing. Not what you "think" is right, but what God says is right (refer to manual). Second, you muLSz
